My 3.5 yr old mid-range PC was doing graphics like those... so what's the big deal?

Gears looks only medicore. Only some of the graphics are sharp. While the rest, especially the background is always blurry.

That's a lie and you know it.
No doubt PC's future line-up will destroy anything the PS3 and 360 graphically, but to call Gears mediocre graphically and say that a 3.5 year old pc is doing graphics like that, is just blind fanboyish dribble.
I can't wait to play all the games shown in this thread thus far, because I have no allegience to any console, and that is how gaming should be done.

:oops: thanks I really do try to avoid these therads but the lemmings have been in some serious damage control as of late.  This guy made a comment about the oh so great Gears of War in refrence to the new screens and games that have been announced for the PS3 saying they were nothing in comparison, so I simply put that to the test.  It's time lemming get a reality check with their brainless comments bashing PS3 (but teh no gamez...) and endless praising of Gears of war. 

They need to realize before this year is over Gears of War will have been owned many times over.  It's not my fault that that's where their expectation stops as far as gaming goes but my expectations are higher.  And as far as I'm concerned, as of right now, Sony looks like there the only game company who's going to deliver. 

Hell I didn't even put PS3's heavy hitters (MGS4, FFXIII, GT5) in the list and it still better than the main 2 games that 360 fans have been praising all this time (Gears, Halo3).  It took the 360 a full year to come out with one exceptional game (gears) in it's library, but by the same frame of time in the PS3 life, it will have tons.

I dont, I just fancied explaining why Gears Multiplayer looks acceptable, when 8 players ISNT acceptable.

I guess im not use to Multiplayer games being tonned down, if you cant have the graphics the same as SP, then dont make the multiplayer on the same Engine, "Performance may change" yea too right, shame it doesnt just me connection rates on consoles .
