Looks good but its a cross-gen title. I'm not expecting cross-gen games to define what next gen graphics will look like. Killzone SF is the only true next-gen looking game I've seen so far. Killzone 2 raised the bar for console games current gen and Killzone SF will raise it again for next gen

@Vatusus: I will have whatever he is smoking. KZSF hasn't won a single award at any convention. But the Best Console Graphics Winner at E3 Forza 5 has. And the Best Console Graphics Winner at GamesCom Ryse has as well lol. Enjoy graphics that are already surpassed by the Xbox One.

Forza is a racing game. Its pretty easy to make a game look good when it has barely any post-processing effects and only linear race track (also lol at google maps buildings). Ryse? lol, it has been proved to run at 900p. Sure it looks good but thats in expense of resolution. Also, like forza, its another linear game with barely any effects.

In conclusion: big lol to pre-release awards. Do you know Rage also won plenty of pre-awards, including best graphics, only to be debunked at time of release? Now no one talks about it. But go on, keep believing in those "awards" lol

now your making excuses. Im simply stating a fact the Xbox One has the two best looking games as awarded at E3 and GamesCom. KZ has no awards. I guess thats why Ryse looks better at 900p then KZSF at 1080p?

Cryengine and "barely any effects" makes you look dumb with a lack of knowledge on the engines running the games...just saying...

BF4 looks amazing, I cannot wait to play it! I would love to get it on the PC, but my 460GTX 1 GB even OCed wouldn't give justice unless I turned the resolution down on High, forget Ultra.

Looks pretty damn similar to the MP on my PC even while maxed out. Seems the PS4 version will be very very good

It's funny that you brought up Rage cause if I recell correctly, Rage was running close to 1080p and it was 60fps, definitely one of the highest resolution games to run on the current gen consoles and just like you said, where is it now in the conversation? No one talks about it at all and it got surpassed by games all running in lower resolutions so you just made a point against Killzone which in your mind is better than all other game because it's 1080p 60fps and other games is not.

ryse graphics look better but not by much. killzone is more impressive since more going on

Ryse is more about the set pieces and more up close and personal with each indivisual person in the game so it is more impressive character wise, but as far as the action that's going on, Killzone seems to have more going on and it all looks really good. Rage was not running 1080p. It was not even full 720p, according to this source http://beyond3d.com/showthread.php?p=1113344 it dynamically switched from 640x720 up to 1280x720.

It's not brought up because that game wasn't that impressive, and it even had all kinds of ugly pop-in issues as well (until it was patched up anyway).

Stupid if you want to analyze performance, but then again you can't determine much about performance from a youtube video either.

.GIF makes it easy enough to tell it's a massive step up from PS3/360/Wii-U anyway.

Yup, Ryse is to Uncharted what Killzone is to Halo/BF4.

However Rage used dynamic resolution and fluxed depending on the stress of the frame.

Nobody is denying PS4 is a bit more powerful, it's a raw gaming machine where as XBO is an all interactive/entertainment machine with some good power under it.

What I can't understand is how ignorant fanboys can't actually admit that a game like Ryse or a game like Killzone looks freaking good, and Hermits this is what you have been waiting for. Now that the next generation has been released, the ENTIRE bottom line of gaming graphics just got shifted up several notches which helps push your technology across the board. People have to upgrade going forward now or they are left behind on the newer games.

For sheer image quality I'd agree it's dumb but it's good for showing the particles and effects in motion

No need to make GIFS like that, the PS4 looks exactly like the PC version, except running a lower resolution at 1600x900, which is more than reasonable.

my HDTV is 720p so my only option is my 23" IPS Ultrasharp :( I need a new TV pronto

Looks about the same as the PC on High settings....which runs well on 3 years old hardware (weaker than PS4).

Means DICE didnt do very good job on next gens.

That means KZSF isn't that impressive either.

-BF4 has way bigger maps.

-BF4 will have more destruction.

-BF4 will have a lot more players.

-BF4 will have vehicles.

Killzone/Uncharted/Gears and whatever other 'graphics king' SW has argued about have all banked on their linearity.

I think it's cute that people are using launch titles and cross-gen games to gauge the "actual abilities" of the next-gen consoles.

Wait until E3 2014 before making up your mind (though I understand this is an impossibility for the absurd fanboys that constitute 90% of this forum).

Next E3 should really demonstrate the capabilities of the hardware with exclusive titles that have been in development on finalized dev kits for the large portion of their development.

Doing it before then is just silly.
