PSP vs DS isnt over yet. Yes, the ds is ahead alot in hardware sales, but sony still has lots of time to catch up or do better.
PSP will win in the long run, just like every sony console.

Deny it if you dare. Pokemon is a selling behemont.does anyobdy think the psp will leave the ds in the dust with the new psp coming out in japan in a few months????????????opinions plizKiLlA1991
I have no idea what new Sony PlayStation Portable is coming out in Japan but the connectivity might give it that energy to come on top. Like honestly I know graphics aren't what makes a game sell but better graphics make it a hell of a lot easier to look at. Like with cell phones the non - coloured ones vs. the coloured ones obviously the coloured is more popular. So with the Sony PSP I think it should be on top but you guys like your Nintendo Dogs, Mario Kart, Samus...etc. Don't get me wrong I love it to but that is so predictable. At a certain point it's going to get stale and going to want something new.
To generation to generation with technology changing every two seconds and once space technology gets better. You'll see kids wanting to go into space instead of watching Mario jump to save the princess yet again from what's his face...Bowser if spelled correctly.

Like Ratchet and Clank, GTmobile, and Burnout Ledgends? Look man, if you bash the DS about having too many franchise games and think the PSP is better becuase of that, thats just flat out hypocrisy. I must ask though, what was predictable about Nintendogs?[QUOTE="books83"][QUOTE="mr_pops238"]PSP vs DS isnt over yet. This prediction, of course, ignores the fact that this past holiday season PSP sales were not only lower than the year before, but that shipments also dropped about 90% from the year before. That's not a good sign.PSP vs DS isnt over yet. Yes, the ds is ahead alot in hardware sales, but sony still has lots of time to catch up or do better.

Lol like honestly I wasn't surprised in the fact that it was just targeted to kids only. It's going to be the same for Halo how long do you expect people to keep buying it and the same with Killzone they will all get boring eventually. It will be the same repetitive things over and over you'll see and I highly do-ut that the Halo 3 game will finish. Then again if it does it will be another franchise of the same concept.
There are only two kinds of games out there :

The new psp is probably gonna sell well in the beginning, but if it wants to be up there with the DS, it needs to be cheaper, aroud the same price as the DS.

Honestly I will finish what I've started because you're making me get off topic here. When I said it was predictable I meant (the idea of it)Â that it wasn't a surprise that Nintendo went the route they went. The same can be said with the (idea of)Â Microsoft and Sony I'm not surprised that they're trying to be the power house off the industry. So when I see the Nintendo characters, the Sony games, and Microsoft games there isn't much difference between themselves (the idea of the games).
With that said how much different was Metroid Prime - Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, as of Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty - Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater / Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence (which they made after Snake Eater with more stuff), Halo - Halo 2. Pretty soon people will realize that we are just playing the same games (using recycled ideas)Â with pretty graphics. So with that said I think the their handholds will follow the same path and eventually the gaming industry (my opinion) will lose its thunder for at least a years time.
Or it could possibly be me and I'm just getting bored of the gaming industry because I'm foreshadowing of what could be. To tell you the truth I'm not impressed with next - generation at all, it wasn't what I thought it to be. Yet at the same time I hope what was problems last generation is fixed this time around (lagging online, A.I. [artificial intelligence], polished game play...etc).
