meh... Insomniac has had some great games but their tech is pretty lackluster. IMO it's not up to par with unreal engine 3 even.

I agree it does not look super impressive, although I like some of the new models for the chimaera.

Wow those graphics blow Uncharted 2 out of the water. Graphics king confirmed. Looks better than Gears 3. Let's hope those are ingame and not cinematics. Cannot wait for gameplay video.

Graphics are fine, but if it has the same awful gameplay and story im gonna pass. I was incredibly disappointed in R2.

hopefully we get a good protaganist this time, and some decent plot!

So long as it plays more like FoM I'm cool with it. I don't think R2 was this god awful game everyone claims it to be, as I thought it was pretty enjoyable, but it did fail in comparison to the first game. I enjoy the Resistance series, and shots like that Goliath shooting at the boat suggest the game is going to be good, but I really want more details on the game itself.

Look at the detail on the gun...it's amazing..the textures on the wall to the left looks kinda bad... but damn that alien model looks awesome. His shadow looks on-spot perfect...lens flare looks great too, bloom is a little over-the-top, but still nice. the wood texture looks great too.

Look at the detail on the gun...it's amazing..the textures on the wall to the left looks kinda bad... but damn that alien model looks awesome. His shadow looks on-spot perfect...lens flare looks great too, bloom is a little over-the-top, but still nice. the wood texture looks great too.

I agree. There games also seem to get slightly uglier with each new one, like they don't make any improvements to the engine. I thought both R1 and R&C: TOD looked better than their sequels.

These are LEAKED screen shots. Not touched up, which is what you are so used to seeing. It's only 600X360 resolution screen shot. It's not in HD. For a leaked screen shot, it looks amazing. I cannot wait to see more ingame HD gameplay footage.

The soft shadows on the character are ACE. The shadows on the walls are clear and not blurry. The mapping and textures on the characted are highly detailed and intricat. The bloom effects on his back and eyes are subtle and gorgeous. It looks great. You seem like you have no direction in what you are trying to prove as "awful" but it seems your taste in art ****is a wee bit off...

This is the engine the game is running on. It it obviously a screen shot. It is NOT concept art.

The chimera in the 2nd shot looks crazy.

You guys see games like the new Castlevania and are like: "OMG!". just because it looks "cool" you know, with the dark setting, the anime like metrosexual protagonist and all but then when a game like Resistance 3 with good art-style you're like: "Garbage!". Honestly? This art-work looks mighty fine. It really is well done and when compared with the prior games you can see the care that Insomniac has put into it to evolve the series and make something really special out of it for the fans. After seeing this I'm convinced that the new Resistance will be a really great game and I haven't even seen any gameplay.

They are finally abandoning the futuristic feel of R2 to go with the atmosphere of Resistance Retribution and with even better art-style. While seeing the screens don't you feel like the game really is taking place in the 50's this time around? The combination of the color palette and excessive blooming helps to display the sense of desperation, like the human race are really *%#^# up this time, like they are just running for their life but working as a "resistance" to survive and not to fight the menace directly, like this is the end of the world. There are no computers around and mostly everything is destroyed, the chimera's have taken over. There isonly terror and there's no way around it. This is a theme not many games touch (if any). In games like Killzone 2 orGeoW you always feel like the humans have a chance of winning because of the technology but in Resistance? Well, this is the 50's, not the year 20xxx,

BTWThis is the first Insomniac game were they are taking more than 12 months to produce and it's showing.
