Was the game really that bad? I have yet to buy it yet, and everytime I come on the internet regardless of where I go including a radioshack community someone is talking bad about Crysis 3.

it's not bout how linear it's, the mechanics look boring, the animations are stiff and clunky, everything about what the game play we saw is pretty bad.

Nah. It's about how linear the game looks. Besides that it looks pretty solid. I just believe that it's 2013 so games should be more open.

So you people actually think Romans, with all their armor, holding shield and sword...moved fluidly like water as they killed people in combat? Really? Crytek hired a damn professional who studies old Roman fighting, to show them how they fought and moved back then. Everyone who has played this game on the X1 tour has come back liking it and that is just the tacked on MP. Use your heads....Oh wait.

Then you probably hate a lot of games because the vast majority of video games can be characterized as "linear".

Even Crytek KNOWS not to dare show gameplay of Ryse lol.

Notice how everything outside of a 3foot radius is blurred to death? That means Bonaire copped out LMAO.

The X1 can't even get this close quarters game to run at 1080P. Sad.....

Crytek really did a great job on xbox 1 graphically, it looks fantastic.

But lol @ Super mega HD, no, the actual game is only 900p, that's sub-1080p and runs 30fps. That said it looks good, hope all the boners love it.

God of War 3 on PS3 looks better.

I'll give you that but this looks extremely linear. I'm talking Super Mario Bros. linear. I'll settle for Dragon Age: Origins linear if they could manage that.

I'm currently playing Legend of Legaia on PS1, Star Ocean 3 on PS2, Super Mario 3 on Snes, Diddy Kong Racing on N64, State of Decay on 360, Civilization and Fable TLC on PC and using the PS3 as a dvd player. Not to mention I am trying to re-buy a dreamcast and/or original Xbox for Shenmue 2 and Jade Empire. I also have the X1 bought, I'm getting the PS4 in late Spring and the Wii U with SMB.

That's like saying its 2013 all movies should be comedy. If the devs want to create a linear action experience, its their creation. The Order 1886 devs said their game is linear, Naughty Dog makes great games that are linear. Why should a creator have to make an open world game because its 2013?

Those screenshots look much better than previous screenshots. It may turn out to be a magnificent game after all. Launch wise Xbox has the upper hand for sure. Sorry Sony you slipped at the last minute.
