No, it doesn't. Some of you guys care too much about immediate flashiness. Take into account detail. GTA4 destroys SR2 and pretty much every other game when it comes to graphical detail.

SO I PLAYED IT COOL, GRABBED MYSELF A SEAT

SWAT TEAM TRIED TO APPROACH ME ON SOME "ummm....sir.....you under arrest..."

SO I SCREAMED "WHAT?!?!"

SWAT TEAM FELL BACK!!!!

I think these look a lot better than the previous couple shown. I really liked the last one, certainly better than other "rip-offs" like True Crime or Crackdown. When is this game set for release? white_sox

Crackdown isn't a rip off. I don't remember you being a super hero in GTA with transforming vehicles and the ability to climb buildings and evolve.

I havent played the first, but if it comes to PS3 which I think it is i'll probably get it. I dont care about the flood of sandbox games cuz i love them, as long as they're good. If Saints Row gets decent reviews from across the board i'll get it. Same with those vegas games for PS3 and stuff.

But one gta "copy" im getting without even looking at reviews is Mafia 2 for PC, part 1 was the closest to the fun of gta imo.

The characters models are pretty bland. And I imagine that, like the first one, the map is going to allow a miniscule amount of interactivity.

The only thing it has that I want GTA4 to have is human shields.

GTA's stories are top notch and have always had diverse, creative, albeit ridiculous missions that have just made the franchise extremely fun and exciting each time. Why would I want to keep fighting gangs for the same territory over and over again, when I could do that, and hijack an f-18, shoot missiles at civilians and blow up cars, jump out, parachute to the streets, jump on a bike, do some drive-by's, engage in massive shootouts with the fbi, swat team and army, as opposed to the max of 6 "cops" that mindlessly attempt to kill you, while in actuality they are there waiting for you to kill them.

The voice acting in saints row is just so bad and generic, whereas GTA always has arguably some of, if not the best voice acting in all their gamesGod. Celebrity voices help a lot too (Ray Liota was awesome in Vice City), I mean, look at all the great actors who have been in the series: Sam jackson, Burt reynolds, Jenna Jameson, Luis Guzman,Gary Busey, Michael Madsen, Lee Majors, James Woods, Charlie Murphy, Ice T., Chuck D., The Game, Axl Rose Dennis Hopper, Phillip m. Thomas. saints row had generic-chezy dialogue, and terrible voice acting and is just weak.

Looks pretty lackluster. It just can't compare to GTA IV. This game would've worked wonders in '07, but now it's just a dead dawg, homies.BioShockOwnz

Crackdown a GTA rip-off? Wha?! Anyways, Crackdown was an open city game with platforming as one of the major gameplay features, which was certainly original. Plus, it had a beautiful art style. The games structure was more like No More Heroes, not GTA. Beat up the goons, then go for the boss.
