...and that comes from someone who posts in a topic which he isn't interested in just to annoy people...

i am interested in that game since the first screenshot and trailer has been released. it's looking better and better each time they show new images. this could be a really great game that slipped under the radar of most gamers. hopefully we will get the game in late 08/early 09.

...haha.
The game has never been demonstrated. All they've ever released are various images and CG trailers. The first one dating back to 2004, which is for how long the game has been in development. It was originally supposed to be released in 2005. Was supposed to be playable at TGS...2006. The studio has never released a game before, the apparent publisher is rather small, having mostly focused on handheld titles previously, this is their first current-gen project, and they're both apparently producing a CG movie simultaneously.
Now, unlike Wardevil, Alan Wake is backed by a major publisher which most likely had to bend over a bit to sign Remedy. which is a more than proven studio that has proven that the game actually exists by publically demonstrating it. Whatever happened to it is that great games take time. Max Payne was in development for six years or some such. I'm not really expecting Alan Wake to be though. 2009 release seems likely.

sooo the devs release new screenshots of the game yet you seem to think it does not exist? also you said great games take time to develop so how are you to know this game wont be great and is just taking long because it will be great? also atleast these devs have given a rough date of release whereas alan wake has no date so your estimation of 2009 means nothing in terms of evidence of release.
as hard as you tried there you just ended up contradicting yourself which = self ownage. good day
from the looks of the screenshot, it looks like you use a sword and have like a million dudes comming at you at one time and you fight them off. i hate those kind of games, like heavenly sword, i was playing demo at gamestop, and within 2 minutes it got repetitive, and i knew it would get booring VERY quickly. it seems like this gen more and more games are trying take a dynasty warriors approac. dont get me wrong, i love dynasty warriors, never owned it, but played ps2 ones, and 360 one looked interesting last year, but this gen like every game is trying to be dynasty warriors, since they have the ability to have so many npcs on screen at once, and i think they are abusing the new capabilities. thats JMO and if this is not that kind of game please let me knowarmymen4

It most certainly does exist, what I'm saying is I doubt it'll ever be released. That it's vaporware. And I don't know that it'll be a great game, so why would I assume that's why it's taking them so long to even show off some gameplay rather than bragging about how they (a studio previously focused around asset creation and CGI) are recreating the visuals from their CG movie in 1080p in their first ever game? But I agree, throwing out a vague releasedate around a year into the future means nothing.
