New Social and Multimedia features comeing to PS3 FW 3.40

Video editing and uploading + Facebook and Google's Picassa integration photo gallery + PSN apps for Facebook + PS Store product rateing + some minor things

This is biggest update since 2.40 i think

I'm getting PSN+ the second it comes out.

Can't say any of this catches my eye. I'm not looking for social features in my gaming console.

did you guys rip on the social stuff when it came out for Live?

Well if there will be games with video recording, video editing tools will be super useful and also picassa integration will be very useful for my mother that likes photography :)

I wish they could give something for the gamers. Like cross game voice chat. I really want that.

I think people ask for it at PS Blog shere and this was most easiet thing to implement, APIs to those services are 100% free for any device conected to internet... yes to any device ;)

Theres PSN+, but yea cross-game chat should be there, hopefuly next update looking on offical site leak

I like the sound of the video editor. Not interested in the rest of it, though.

Server usage, they once failed on it in PS Home, this is why (As CGC rumors say) CGC room can be only creatd by PSN+ members to reduce that usage and fund better servers

Overall this update sounds very nice. I'll play around with the photo / video editor tomorrow :P.

I would love it if that video upload feature was integrated with games like SSFIV.
