you'd be surprised what 3 seperately minded people can come up with if they are reasonably intelligent and open-minded.
This reminds me of the "Bonus Round" discussions on GameTrailers, far better than anything on GS.
Yep, old gamespot reviews ownI think gamespot reverting back to their accurate scoring is the only good solution. I seriously can't get over gamespot reviews ending up with 0s or 5s. It's not accurate.
Anyway, if you want averaged scores, go to Gamerankings.

No review can ever be precisely accurate. If they were, then how would they score them? Since to score them they have to measure them with competition, what would happen in the graphics departments between 360/PS3 and Wii, or PSP and DS? How fare would it be that a DS game that still use almost the same graphics as the GBA gets a 9 and a PSP game with almost PS2 graphics gets an 8?
Or how would any Wii game score high considering their low graphics?.
Its impossible to have a fair review system, even current gen games wouldnt be able to be unbias. Beacuse, in the end, the score they give, its the score they wanted the game to have, even if it has crappy graphics, even if it has midi tunes.

Doesn't suit game journalist. :P

You rate the game in relation to the system its on. They pretty much do that now. A game that pushes wii technically will never look as good as say, an average PC game, the fact it is great for the wii would give it 9/10 for graphics. The Pc game, although it looks so much better is not that great for PC so would get 5/10 for graphics. This is normal gamespot practice.
Look at lots of multiplat reviews, they actually score superior versions less because of the system it is on.
They would need 3 people to play through the game, and considering that they tend to lag behind in their reviews even now, I'm not so sure if it's such a good idea. And I don't know if I want the guy who reviews EA sports games to give his opinion on Sins Of A Solar Empire etc. Tho that might be the case already. :Pmr_mozilla
This, for me is half the problem here. Its why i love PC gamer uk. They have genre reviewers. That way they get accurate and fair reviews of all games. GS seem to give reviews to whoever is avaiiable.
Then again it only seems to affect a few games a year as their scores are pretty consistent with other major sites. I do however get the feeling they need a couple of PC gamers to review PC games.
