i still think it's a BIG gamble. but it's good that they do something a little different.

I like the way they are going with this.

Its just another way for it to set itself from the other fighters that are using a more realistic approach

I got modded the last time I commented on how this game looks so allow me to specifically clarify my response so that no one could misunderstand me.

Ryu is from Japan and does not look Japanese at all anymore. I do not like that.

In fact he looks far more American like Ken. Which I also do not like. He should look Japanese.

Also their muscles are a bit exaggerated. They don't take steroids they should be muscular but lean.

Seriously though there is a video at 1up which shows up the gameplay and it looks pretty good. The facial expressions are rather humerious though.

There facial expressions are terrible

But I guess theres a lot of time to improve :P

It looks like everything should have a really brutal impact. Hopefully it has a very satisfying feel.

i really like it. i'm really curious to see how they model dahlsim (sp?) and chun-li. the art style is definitely a love it or hate scenario, though.

They look they are on 'roids rage. And the individual character art has to be the worst Capcom has shown.

I'm sorry but this game looks like crap. I hope the watering down of PC Gamers Favorite Franchises (Rainbow Six, Oblivion, and soon Fallout 3) doesn't rub off on Arcade/LAN Gamers.

So far the art direction, some of the gameplay revealed (auto-kill super moves?), and the stench of Street Fighter 2 Version 2.0 gives me chills about this game.

I mean hell the EX games looked more like Street Fighter then this.

Daigo is just ridiculous. His Street Fighter Alpha play is just about as crazed. I just don't feel confident abou tthis game though.

Daigo typically only plays 2D Sprite based fighters. He doesn't play 3D from what I know (could be wrong)

I agree, but only about the faces. As a long time SF fan I wish they would have made the faces more anime like instead of western cartoony like. I'm sure they would be able to express the facial animations the same way if they did.

On a technical level it's both exactly what I wanted and exactly what I had predicted: 3D models on a 2D plane.

But the art style is just all wrong. It's both over-exaggerated and bland, a poor combo. There's nothing striking about it in the least.

No but seriously the game looks good but a tad bit too colorful for my tastes. I like the fact that they are trying to "casualize" the game, but it's rubbing a lot of SF fans the wrong way. I still hope they pull together a great product because with SC4, Tekken, and yes even SSBB. People won't settle for another EX.

There are ,not a few, SF fans that will welcome SF4.Especially If gameplay is what made previous games awesome,this will be awesome too.

If ppl that bashing it for laughable art and that is too colorful,big foots and all,are the same ppl that hyping SSBB then QQ. I really dont have to say anything. Just a big lol...
