This is a really good score, IGN AU is like the Eurogamer of IGN. They are usually much more critical than the other IGN branches.

I'm conflicted, 2D Mario scoring well makes me happy yet IGN is such a garbage sight and this is "second string" IGN at that. What to do?

I know, I want to get all happy since it is 2D mario but I must maintain obediance. Can't get hyped, IGN is terrible.

You never know. Maybe it will be overwhelmingly positive. I highly doubt it though. Most every game has some form of naysayer.

Yeah, the press have been pretty fond of this one. Great score.

Its a great game though, the areas are in the vien of the first NSMB but the level design is obviously different. And the game is actually hard as hell.

This games got AAA written all over it.

Nice, especially consideing this is IGN AU who are the toughest (i think they gave Halo 3 8.9?). Anyway whats funny here is how people have disregarded the Wiis year when it hasnt even had its best games.

Well thats like the last game Wii is getting this year and at least one AAA is needed per year so guess Mario as a name deserves it? EPIC WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think many of us were pretty unfair to this game earlier this year. What looked like (IMO) a quick cash-in to satisfy the rabbid fanboys thirst is actuallylooking to be another Mario classic, up there with the best and brimming with charm. Funny, i dont have a Wii but i'd rather have this than the majority of games released on the other systems anyday.

oh my oh my oh my. I just watched the final level/boss (couldnt help myself) and i wont comment on what happens the music is absoloute EPIC! Its something you'd never expect in Mario heck its so un-nintendo like i can gurantee many people will be caught by suprise. Has me excited about what Nintendo may have in store for Zelda Wii.

Oh dont worry, i just meant that in the sense of originality, i'd like to see that kind of thought brought over to Zelda. I have no idea what Zelda boss your thinking of :P

EDIT: What did you think of the music? amazing right. Its funny, ive been ripping this games soundtrack to shreds since day one but now im in love with it.
