Why do people even like Wario? The one on Gamecube bombed, the only thing he is known for IS his mini-game crap.Ilived
Or maybe you could learn to read comments posted in threads, or even the TC's post. This is Warioland in 2d on Wii, not Warioland like on GC, not Warioware...

ug, that game was horrible.
Oh and just to add if they screw this up like they did master of disguise may firey balls of old E.T. atari 2600 catridges rain down on nintendos offices and I'll basically lose any respect I have for them and interest in their future products. Also I'll feel it pretty safe to say platformers are dead.
They're using the warioland name so it may be the original team developing it which if that is the case were safe but if their not they better dam well make a game worthy to be called a warioland game.

Go look at the GBA warioland games scores.

BURN! BURN! For he has commited blasphemy! :P You are aware that warioland 3's review score (you know back when gs reviews had alot of weight on them) beat almost every mario game ever released except super mario bros deluxe? I want you to think about that, its pretty clear you have no idea about his glory days on the handhelds.

Translation "OMG a game on a console is 2d call the graphics police!!!" As if you can tell how a game will play as well, just because it has some tiny simplistic Wii remote waggling it's probably for special moves, or like in SMG where you shake to do a spin attack.

Lol if they charge $50 for this.
We barely know the first thing about the game and you clearly know nothing at all.
I know enough not to get exciting for a game like this...especially when all the other jerks kept bashing the new Banjo game.

I admit that I had my fair share of Banjo Bashing, but I have since realized that the game could turn out to be pretty fun. Blatantly bashing a true 2d Wario Land platformer on a console is just ludicrous though. You have to realize this is what the fans wanted for this game all along, not what went to GC, not Wario Ware. Those are far from what Wario Land is. I suggest you play them on the GBC, GBA, or even the VB version.

So someone hates on a game you like so your gonna do it back to someother fans of another game I mean man thats just spreading a bad example. But what is it about this game you know then that has made you already decide its nothing to be excited about and certainly not £50 because currently you've presented not argument at all and just hating on it.
Oh and in reference to banjo, yeah when you change the whole concept of a game especially a game like banjo where there seems to be alot of affection for the original and a solid fanbase people tend not to be happy. Just taking it for it was it is though it looks fun, different and innovative. Something you usually don't see outside wii and ds games. I admire rare taking the series into a new direction and trying to do something like that on the 360 but the hate they get from there old fans is prefectly reasonable. How do you think halo fans would feel if the series was turned into a party game franchise?

What are you talking about? Nobody is complaining about Halo Wars. The hate they get is no reasonable at all especially when they said it wasn't going to be a traditional platformer. It doesn't matter, lets stick to the point here, Wario Land so far doesn't look appealing at all.

No because halo wars is a spin off and doesn't affect the main series. Besides the main series is finished now though they may start a new one and it doesn't effect anything. With the warioland series it was never said that the series was finished so because the last game using the warioland name was waioland 4 released back in 2001 there was good reason to believe that the series had been replaced my warios microgame series instead. Besides your completely missing the point, fine lets say they turn GoW2 into a party game how do you think the fans would react? As far as I see now you look more blind than the people your complaining about.
Like I said the hate is reasonable of course people don't like it when you change the fundamentals of what they like in the series and release it as a new game, thats not to say that this new game is going to be bad. Also you have completely dodged my question on what that you know about warioland shaked so far has made you come to the conclusion its not worth getting excited about or worth a $50 price tag?
I mean your being very hypocritical, complaining about people blindly hating on the new banjo game and then immediately afterwards blindly hating on warioland shaked.

All of them but the 2nd, don;t get me wrong, they are good games but I like Warioware Twisted and the original Warioware much more, theya re easily the best minigame games out there

Ok fair enough seeing as warioland 3 imo was the best its fair for you to say that. I don't mind when people prefer wario twisted and such over the warioland series its just annoying when people do stuff like saying SMG is the best platformer ever! Without having actually played hardly any platformers to say that. SMG is the best platformer I've ever played is fine though :P
Your right though, as far as mini game games go warioware is in a league of its own :)
FYI, the Banjo hate isn't the reason why I'm hating on this game. The look of the game itself is enough for me to realize that I won't like the game. It's 2d, I've been done with 2d games since I played Sonic and Knuckles on Sega Genesis(never had a snes or wanted one, I loves Sega). I don't need to know if this game is going to have massive explosions or online multiplayer or anything ridiculous like that for me to like it...it's 2d, it's done.Ilived
Ok fine but I'm sure its not hard to see that most gamers want a fun challenging game whatever the genre and if your just gonna brush it off because its 2D then maybe you shouldn't be so openly criticising games as it doesn't sound like you know what makes a good one. Also its gonna be about the same price as a ds game where I am (£30 for a ds game and about £35 for a first party wii title) I'm sure you would except 2-D on a handheld and with a price difference like that theres just not much to complain about. Of course if pricing on wii and ds games in your area greatly vary than maybe I'd at least somewhat sympathise with your point.

I've always said to myself that I should try a game before righting it off...it's why I own all three consoles, but with this particular one, I can't say I am happy about it at all simply because it's 2d. Fair enough. But it still sounds somewhat ironic, banjo got hated on because it was different. Your not happy about warioland shakers because its 2-D which is different nowadays now a console game. If you see the irony your self I'd like to think you may be able to sympathise a bit more with peoples position on the new banjo game.

The problem with that is, Rare added something that can be remarkable not only for the series but for the genre itself and reading and hearing about it more and more gets me excited and optimistic for the game. With Wario Land...it's not different, it's just 2d...that's all.

Early days my friend, we already no it will be using motion controls for some attacks and vechiles. I mean theres going to be vechiles if thats not significantly different from the other games than even with forge halo 3 may as well be halo 2.5. I'll tell you why you should be hyped though. Warioland 3 is the exemplary example for all other puzzle platformers, if this game is truly worthy of the warioland name 2-D or not your going to be in for some creative/innovative, challenging and surprising puzzles and a hell of alot of collectables giving the game a nice length. The thing is you can still be creative and innovative in 2-D and I'd rather have a exceptional 2-D game like warioland 3 than a mediocre one like what happened when wario went 3D on the gamecube.
they should make many more side scrollers and 2d games.
wii owners, play lost winds!! breath of fresh air
Warioland and Warioland (VB) were awesome games. Saidly very few people played the VB game.I loved the Virtual Boy one.
I'm serious. That game was great.
