Because it looks awesome.Â
I was never impressed with Celda. It's graphics that can be done on the PC Engine.NobuoMusicMaker
i havent logged on for two months, i thought- lets see how gamespot forums are doing... and lol the second thread i open, and someone not only insults zelda without saying a single reason, but also mis-spells it (celda, wtf?) and then states that the graphics of a DS GAME, which is a handheld and cannot produce half the pixels of a home console, could be done on a PC-ENGINE, which as you all know, PC's are the most powerful, comparing a handheld to a PC?! so- 'celda' DS shouldnt be liked because it doesnt have crysis graphics..... this forums been going good since i left for a while...
anyways, it looks great and im definetaly gonna get it , been waiting a long time, lol it was set of a release date in 2006, now its Q3-Q4 2007
EDIT: lol at the people flaming cel-shaded link, GOTY wind-waker anyone? true i like the normal link better, but this style is best suited for the DS, its great anyway, with amazing expression
I hate windwaker Link :(

Not only do you misspell Zelda, you compare a palm-sized handheld which is known to be underpowered to a PC...
what do you expect? its from a fanboy.Â

Do you realize how stupid you look with that rant of yours? Celda is derived from Cel-shaded Zelda, it's an intentional misspelling. Secondly the PC-engine is another name for the turbographix. I may roll my eyes at NobuoMusicMaker's statement but comments like yours just make things worse, please think before posting.Am I the only one who thinks this game looks absolutely ugly?Luigi_Vincetana
No, I really like the style. Its very artistic once you experience the style for a time.
But again, like art, if you hate the artist, you are probably going to hate the graphics. Thats why I think the graphics are love em or hate em regarding Celda
Looks very good for a Ds game. I absolutely loved WW and i can wait to play this game.

good thing you can use your touchscreen to plot your sailing path this time.Â

It's good Link doesn't have to think, utilize dialouge, or engage in any sort of moral complexity throughout his "endless" adventures through time.

Who cares as long as its fun. Man next you'll be telling me that all fighters and even sport games need complex stories lol. Its a game and a game that is fun. Its not an RPG it doesn't require an overly deep story though one wouldn't hurt. Why do you play Video games again?Â
The cell-shaded look of Wind Waker was simply beautiful, and I am glad they are keeping the cell-shaded look with Phantom Hourglass.:)It looks like fun,and I can't wait to play it.

Most people liked it, but the minority who didn't was extremely vocal about it, convincing Nintendo to switch back to a more realistic look. I actually really like the look of TP, although it definitely could have been improved. I'd love to see the handheld Zelda games keep the cell-shaded look, while the console versions work on the more realistic look.Â

In all fairness though, I'd claim it's more uninformed then stupid. I mean, honestly... Turbographx came out in the late 80's. Not everyone has an all encompassing knowledge of prior releases, and when people get exceedingly clever and start refering to an old, semi-obscure console by a name that isn't used outside of Japan, sometimes people don't get the joke.
... that having been said, I miss Bonk.
Awesome... :D Truth be told, I haven't seen a PSP game that looks that good with cel shading, though I know there are few. I know the DS isn't as strong, but there's no game with that visual flair and style this game has. :P
Ok really, looks awesome, and I will own it. :P
