Installed last night.. there was another topic that brought this to my attention and sold me on it. Twin Stick shooters are fun and good ones are not as common as you would think.
The early days of PSN and XBL getting amazing retro inspired games like this is something I genuinely miss. $15 is a more appropriate price point though.

@quadknight: Nex Machina is available on Steam so it's not AAAE. Just AAA.
If that means we're able to deny Xbots Gears of War 4 as being an exclusive since it's available on Steam, then sure. One less exclusive from what is already a sparse library of exclusives
Another ps4 exclusive for lemmings to be jealous about but that will be ignored in debates/trashed on simply to fit their narrative that fell apart years ago.

You're wrong, that would exclude every single "exclusive" the xbox one has had since halo 5 and many before that too.
Would get it, but I suck ass at games like these. Will pick up on a big sale for Steam to compensate for my lack of twitch talent.
You have to tap into the lizard part of your brain, no thinking, just reacting. :P
It's great, with each 'board' you have about a half a second to size it up and figure out if it's best to try and rescue humans, obtain power-ups, or take out specific enemy types, and in what order to facilitate in the best way to clear the board and keep your multiplier as high as possible. It's relentless and barely gives you time to breathe before your on to the next. It's as good as twin-stick games get.
Watching the review that's what it looks like. I can see the DNA of Resogun in it, which was an awesome shooter.
Bought it yesterday. The game is fun as hell, but it really needs online coop. It's almost a crime the lack of that feature in a game like this these days!

It's like remaking Japan games from long ago are all the rage and selling them as though their something new with a price to match. This gen has so much been Eeewww & yuck at the same time. Next up, a copy and past of Galaxian 10/10 GOAT baby. lol
