360 launched with PGR3, CoD2, Kameo, Condemned and NFS MW. Also Perfect Dark which was fun online, especially Infection. Not a bad launch at all.

Also, when the XOne and PS4 launch, getting games like Battlefield 4 and Assassins Creed 4 which the beefier graphics (higher player count in Battlefields case) is plenty justification to pick a next gen console up at launch.

I don't see how. MS bungled the reveal, perceivably got bested by Sony at E3 and the the PS4 is cheaper. Unless MS can really sell the multi media features to families and NFL's , I don't see how MS is going to sell more consoles. And that just in the U.S. What about overseas? Europeans will buy the PS4 10 to 1 over Xbox One. People want to buy the next hip thing. That product that doesn't make them feel like their settling. That product that doesn't have a negative image. Its simple really, MS messed it up. And there is not simple way out of it unfortunately.

dumbest thread i probably ever read, Xbox One and PS4 basically have same APU its just PS4 GPU has much more power then the Xbox One along with more RAM and CPU cores available for games... its not like last gen where the PS3 and X360 were different in terms of architecture design these are straight up same APU's except Sony's APU is noticeably more powerful both are AMD GCN so you can just compare straight paper specs. 1.84 teraflops vses 1.1 teraflops. better launch line up is just a opinion, i think the XBO launch lineup is pretty garbage. You can already tell the XBO has weak hardware, Digital Foundry did analysis on Titanfall and the trees and stuff like that werent even moving, everything looked last gen to them they said.. going from the x360 to the XBO isnt that big of a upgrade, its like the same transition with Wii to Wii Uxboxiphoneps3

it definitely can do 900 mhz, i think i wouldnt go beyond that, but otherwise that is fine, it will still run at great temps with the cooling system.

No, I don't think so.

The PS4 actually has some good games lined up for the launch window: Infamous Second Son, Planetside 2, Killzone Shadow Fall, etc. And the multiplat lineup is much better for all platforms this time around.

The PS3 was weaker in some ways (GPU, slightly less avaialbe RAM) and stronger only in terms of its CPU. The PS4, on the other hand, is plainly more powerful. The GPU has 50% more performance and its memory also has a faster bandwidth (and apparently quite a bit more available RAM).

The PS4 controller looks fantastic, and is reported to be just as ergonomical as the Xbox One controller.

Sales remain to be seen.

So, I don't think this console generation looks like the last at all.

Though it would be largely Sony's fault if this Gen is identical to the last, as they seem content to offer an upgraded PS3 and nothing more, ultimately it's the customers' fault. They are the ones who create demand for a product, and many of them have made it clear in the past few months that they want abosultely nothing to change in their console of choice.

I'm glad the market is more segregated now, PS4 vs X1 are 2 completely different choices, and because of that this generation will be more interesting than the last one imo.
