That sucks for the developers, not the PS3s fault lol. If they didnt fix it, shame on them, dont really se how this is ownage or anythingnavyguy21

Beyond3D is the tech forum. They know everything whether it's the native resolution or how much AA the game is using. They were the ones who said COD4, Halo 3 etc...all were below 720p before everyone else. Also there are quite a few devs that post there as well.your using a forum post to back up the claim?

I did, not sure what you mean here :(it's beyond3d, it's posters are mainly games developers who know what they are talking about, they know a hell of a lot more than most people on these forums and a far as i am concerned they are beyond reproach and everything they say is pretty much spot on, if they say that NG2 sigma runs worse than NG2, then that is most definitely the case.Seriously.. it's not much of a different in performance.
PS3 Average(58.067) Tearing(10.596%) Min-Max(49.5-60.0)
360 Average(59.077) Tearing( 4.627%) Min-Max(49.5-60.0)
360 has one more frame in average, and 6% less frame tearing. And minimum framerate is 49.5 in both versions. 360 version seems to have better anti aliasing, but the lightning and overall picture quality is noticably better in the Sigma version.

It has been a while since I booted up the X360 version but IMO the PS3 version has less jaggies and looks a tad better. Got the Japanese demo yesterday.
The 360 version has way less jaggies cuz it supports AA but not the ps3 version. But yes ps3 version looks better texture wise and less blurry still the jaggies are just killing me :([QUOTE="Epak_"]

Team Ninja completely screwed this one up. Big surprise.cheese_itlet's add them to PS3 fans' lazy devs list :P
Wow i was hoping they would fix the lag issues from the 360 version. But they had the balls to make this one worse? Wtf team ninja.
Yeah. The title of the video says "NINJA GAIDEN 2 DEMO GamePlay ".How did they test the game when it isn't even out yet? Did they test the japanese demo?

This is what i don't understand, you say no blood, i played the demo last night and when playing the girl section (anna i think) there was blood all over the place, i was able to take legs off and cut people in half etc, so how come people are saying there is no blood at all?. --- Also i think i noticed tearing 1 or twice in around 10 playthroughs so it's not that much of an issue (well i guess it is here it is SW after all :D), and with regards to jaggys, i play on a 1080p setup so i get it upscaled from 720p BUT i didn't really notice any (maybe it's because the gameplay is quite fast and intence), infact i thought it looked quite smooth (and the motion control bit is just LOL).lower performance + no blood?ps3 fans won't like this thread..

Because they played the 360 version, which may have been unrealistic and excessive, but that is highly preferable to the unrealistic and conservative Sigma II. Yes, it's got a lot of upgrades that make it superior, but stripping it of its gore is like taking the explosions out of Ratchet and Clank.[QUOTE="Stoner-Pimp"][QUOTE="Mystery_Writer"]This is what i don't understand, you say no blood, i played the demo last night and when playing the girl section (anna i think) there was blood all over the place, i was able to take legs off and cut people in half etc, so how come people are saying there is no blood at all?. --- Also i think i noticed tearing 1 or twice in around 10 playthroughs so it's not that much of an issue (well i guess it is here it is SW after all :D), and with regards to jaggys, i play on a 1080p setup so i get it upscaled from 720p BUT i didn't really notice any (maybe it's because the gameplay is quite fast and intence), infact i thought it looked quite smooth (and the motion control bit is just LOL). The orignal Ninja Gaiden did not have excessive over the top blood featured in NG 2. So it is pointless to say you are a fan of NG because of its excessive blood when the originals plus Black and Sigma did not have over the top blood.
I was sad enough to play the same level side by side on the PS3 and 360 to see the differences and really they are minor its still a great game made slightly with loads more options, but when it comes to the gore there has been major reductions on the PS3's part and there were all so less enemies on the PS3 as well when you cut off a ninjas body part the stump is just a muddy black colour and I dont know if it was just me but a few moves didnt seem to happen on the PS3 like slamming your sword down on a ninja lying on the ground to cut his head off. I missed that one.

I dunno, something just doesn't sound right when comparing a demo to a full game -_-
maybe I'm just wrong.

Ok, so slightly more tearing and the Average FPS is 1 less.
However, NGS2 does looks better than NG2.
If they looked exactly the same the PS3 would probably have the better performance.
They're usually a very accurate representation of the final product. I can't think of any time where the 2 differed...on consoles anyway.I dunno, something just doesn't sound right when comparing a demo to a full game -_-

They're barely maintaining 58 FPS (with lots of tearing).. so they might dropped the excessive blood in order not to have the performance dip any further.[QUOTE="Nero_Paladin"]Demos are samples of finished products. So what your saying is that every demo that's ever been released has looked as exactly like the finished product?
Update: and performed just as well.
Have you actually seen the difference yourself? Wait until digital foundry does a comparison before coming to conclusions. I've played through Ninja Gaiden 2 recently, and the PS3 version (demo) has a better contrast level with some higher res textures. Granted I did notice some screen tearing in the demo but it was only when there were more then 4-5 enemies on screen. The performance in Ninja Gaiden on 360 wasn't anything to write home about though as there were some odd graphical bugs and horrible camera issues, which I've seen none of in Sigma 2 as of yet.
i play Sigma 2 demo and it have even less enemies on screen than NG2. the enemy amount is cut down to 2 to 4 at a time onscreen in Sigma 2, while there is 7 to 9 enemies on screen at one time in NG2. on top of that, Sigma 2 still have less blood and no bodyparts flying around. im angry, but i still say sigma 2 is better becuase its in PS3 and not crapbox 360.
So lets see, it's censored, has purple blood, less frames per second, more jaggies, more frame tearing, less enemies on screen, cut executions and dismemberment, but added sub-standard hot chick missions, tacked on co-op for a single player game...
Yeah this is way better that Itagaki's master ninja original.
But it has better contast ratio... c'mon Lol, what a joke. Your TV has this thing called a contrast and sharpness button...
