MS is NOT showing any signs of slowdown. gg HS, GoW, DMC....but your master is RYU

Kratos called, he wants his Cyclops move back. ;)Storm_MarineNG was out before GoW????
if anything has been borrowed, i think more has been by kratos
I admit this game is not on my rader.
If it can be fun without insanely killing me with its difficulty I may consider buying it. Great pics but yeah very god of war haha.
[QUOTE="Oscar-Wilde"]That would look cool if we were in the year 2005.JLF1
Are you seriously saying that this is 05 quality graphics?
I'm not talking about the graphics (which IMO are not impressive either) I'm talking about the scene in general.

I think shinobi did honestly :P. And if you can't see that they are taking some stuff from GOW then I think you are blind, but that's all for the better though, I'd put NG on top of it if they can remake that cinematic feel GOW has.

I don't think he means GoW invented the genre. GoW merely brought it to the next level.
And NGII seems to have taken inspiration from some of its iconic moments.
[QUOTE="Oscar-Wilde"]Well thanks for supporting my point then, now it looks even less impressive.JLF1
you don't understand my point, do you? read what Bread_or_Decide wrote, he express what I'm trying to say more clearly.
How do you control your character in a scene like pictured above? The creator of NG already bashed GoW and HS for using timed button presses. So how do you control your character through something like this? I imagine its a cut-scene. I could be wrong, absolutely.StringGuarddo you expect someone here to be able to answer that question?

GoW might have taken the genre to a higher level when it came out but NG walked another way and are focusing on other things in the genre and makes it another high point in the genre. To say that this game is less impressive because it takes inspiration from a game that has taken inspiration from another game itself is dumb.

Wow. Do I think I am amonst game developers here? Hell to the no.
But I am amongst some major gamers who have played a crapload of games. And I was thinking that maybe someone could tell me if they've seen a like scene in another game where timed button presses weren't used.
Geesh. Maybe tomorrow you'll wake up on the other side of the bed.

I asked a simple question. Nobody here has played the game. We don't know. Nobody here could know. If you're going to post rhetorical questions, maybe you should spare us the space on the forum. Or maybe you can post it on Team Ninja's forum and actually get an answer.

It's a legit question. If its a cut scene, then big woop, if its gameplay then it must be button timed which means the creator is a hypocrite.
If its something new..well then thats an entirely different story.
You say inspiration I say derative, if you think is dumb to have higher standards for games, specially for franchises as big and awesome as Ninja Gaiden, then so be it, I'm the biggest idiot on the planet.Oscar-Wilde
It's one enemy in one place why would that be so horribly?

Bing! We have a winner.......
I think I must have struck a nerve with Dreams-Visions here. I guess he's a pretty big NG fan.
DV, I did ask a question anyone could answer here. Especially anyone who's played through prior NG games. And I already explained why I asked. Yet, you choose to ignore that and drive the point home (one we all already know) that no one here is a developer. Great.

NINJA GAIDEN FOCUSES ON GAMEPLAY MECHANICS ALOT MORE THAN IT'S COMPETITORS....SO WHEN YOU SEE A ENEMY LIKE IN PICS ABOVE, YOU HAVE TO USE YOUR NINJA SENSES TO DIGEST THE SCENE PROPERLY........RYU IS FIGHTING A BLIND CREATURE...SO THE CREATURE LIKELY HAS BETTER SMELL AND HEARING TO MAKE UP FOR THE LACK OF SIGHT.....DO YOU SEE WHERE RYU IS ATTACKING THE CREATURE....IN THE EAR REGION....OKAY...NOW THIS REMINDS ME OF FIGHT THE DINO IN NG1....ATTACK THE FEET FOR MASSIVE DAMAGE....THINK PPL

Oscar-Wilde IS A COW....FACT.Prince of Persia 2 had scenes like that where you jumped on something big and killed it. They didn't use quick time type events. The controls were simplified when you were on it but you had to dodge the thing swiping at you and hack at it when you had an opening. JiveTITS TRUE
The textures on that thing look about as good as TimeShift's. lolCedmln
I played TimeShift and that's 100% false. I can't believe people are still trying to find any little thing they can to diss Ninja Gaiden 2. *sigh*
