I don't understand why people get so excited for it. I mean, there is no story involved whatsoever. But maybe that is because I have never understood why people buy racing game after racing game.

Doesn't matter, still an excellent game to play. And Europeans love cars, not racing. Don't get it confused, GT wins because there's alot of good modelled detailed cars :D

The Ps3 is dead in japan? Hm thats interesting never heard or that. and the stats show otherwise but if you say so it must be right i guess. GEars2 will sell just because the 360 fans need something to hang on to. MGS4, FF13, LBP, White Knight Cronicles, Home, etc... are the reasons people are buying ps3s, even in japan. (considering that the MGS4 bundle in japan has sold out already 2 monthes in advanced.)

it is a fun game to play and i own it but just as ridicolous as someone saying a Gears of War 2 beta is comparable to MGS 4
