NGP Killzone in development at Sony Cambridge

The next Killzone game is the first not to be developed by series creators, Guerrilla Games. Instead, Gamerzines has learned that they have passed on development to Sony's Cambridge studio. While fans of the excellent Killzone Liberation for PSP may be disappointed to hear that Guerrilla isn't working directly on the game, senior producer Steven Ter Heide told the site that "we'll still oversee it because the universe is something we've built up, we know the war and the rules that have been established, but they're driving the development."

The Cambridge studio has worked on the MediEvil franchise and, most recently, LittleBigPlanet for PSP and TV Superstars for PlayStation Move.

Well Duh! Guerilla is working on that NEW IP! :lol: Hope they do a good job. Killzone is one of my favorite shooters.

Was'nt Killzone Liberation for PSP a birds eye view shooter, Killzone NGP is a FPS

Not concerned about it, I still think it can be an awesome game, the point isn't to make the best Killzone ever but to bring it to a portable system.

Why not just make a new FPS IP, it's not like Killzone is all that popular or interesting in any way...

Bummer. Why is Sony letting their best studios twiddle their thumbs while the NGP launches? This could have been their chance to seriously upstage Nintendo with the first-party support.

Well, at least Cambridge has a better track record than the guys doing Resistance.

Yes but Uncharted 3 WILL wipe the floor with Gears of War 3. As will The Last Guardian. :O Also, what Halo and Forza are you talking about? I don't remember any Halo 5 / Forza 4 announcements :|Mozelleple112
