3ds will probably have the best hand held kart racer and NGP will likely have the best hand held driving "sim"...
Besides that they will likely get the same racing games for the most part.

This. And this isn't really System Wars worthy material. Sure it's System A vs. System B but it's stupid to compare the library of a rather minor genre of games on two platforms which aren't out yet. Make a thread that's not about racing games for once... please.
I don't know if this is considered disruptive. I just don't know if many people on SW will really care to respond considering the circumstances. We just don't know enough about the libraries and as said before, neither platform has released worldwide yet.
if the NGP gets a Burnout or Motorstorm game, then I'll have to side with the NGP. The PSP already has some of the best racers. Hopefully the NGP will continue the trend.
NGP will undoubtedly get the more realistic racers but 3DS will eventually get a Mario Kart...so both will be good for some kind of racing action methinks.

I would agree if the nub on the PSP wasn't atrocious. Better then playing with just a a d-pad, though (DS).
well im only speculating on some games they may get here but (and im only talking about potentially good ones imho...of others want to add then feel free) on the 3DS: mario kart fzero trackmania on the NGP wipeout GT (in about 6 years after launch :P). codemasters racers (basically PS3 ports so your looking at dirt 4, f1 2012 and so on..im not bunching them together though thats at least 2 racers). hmm i think the NGP may have the upperhand on this one especially with codemasters backing. i know theres nothing confirmed of course on this and CM may decide to go with the 3DS or both or neither but i suspect that CM will look to adding NGP support to the ego engine for 2012 releases. i dont think they will for the 3DS though. the 3DS would also have serious problems running the underlying simulation of CMs racers so all that would need a complete overhaul. hell getting it running on the NGP will probably be quite difficult also. still the 3DS will be no slouch. a trackmania with a better developed online and improved development tools would be awesome. hopefully mario kart 3DS continues the strong showing of MK on handhelds also (lets not talk about the wii version.). an fzero would also be fantastic...though probably vomit inducing also :P. anywho thats my 100% non fact and 100% speculation on the matter.

oh burnout..how the hell did i forget that? thinking about it id love to see a 3DS version. i love that mode where you have to crash a car in such a way that it causes everything else to go boom. this could be one of those situations where the 3D effect could but a big smile on your face......big splosions and bits of car and scenery flying everywhere in 3D o vision!! \o/. not exactly a game changer but....well..its the simple things :). cmon EA....you know you want to.
sonys got gt but nintendos got mariokart and asphalt 3d among other racing games i dont even think psp2 /ngp has one announced at present time so if we based off of now 3ds is the one that has the better racers
either way im getting both 3ds of course first bc thats out first

mariokart is not superior to like grand turismo, but when it comes to handhelds especially, a well done and unique mariokart game would be a heck of alot greater than just a small screen port of gran turismo.....when it comes to these handhelds its really innovation and raw fun factor that win, and in that case mariokart 3DS will be killer awesome

This is a good point, but most ports suffer from a poor experience of the console version, but with PSP2 the graphics are amazing so I can see a portable GT on this being a hit unlike that of PSP1
