I don't know. From the way Kevin V. has been hinting about it I think it's up for grabs. IMO it will be either AA or AAA.

I fail to see the bad. Ninja Gaiden never appealed to me, but it clearly says in the review that it is a great game.

"Ninja Gaiden II is easily one of the best action games on Xbox 360. The depth in combat is as exciting as ever and the new gameplay additions and changes only add to the experience. Looks like the remake of the highly acclaimed version is still the best. Which makes sense. Since it's essentially the same game just improved for PS3. I thought it would be hard for NG2 to beat that.

Only for ps3 games, we're talking about an x360 game here, they *almost* always give higher scores to x360 games than gamerankings.com's average (which includes ign).

There's the gamerankings.com average, 81.7%, therefore, I'm assuming it'll get at least a 9 on gamespot.

that's a short review and the really only gripe is that the REVIEW version had some framerate issues?? I wonder if that will be in the final version?....can't wait for this game :)

You can play this game all day long. One games score does not predict another games score. You can go back to many games where IGN and Gamespot agreed or disagreed or were the same. It proves nothing.

The reason i expect NG games to go down with each passing sequel is that unless they revolutionize with each sequel, it will just be labled as "more of the same." Think about it, apart from the addition of blood and decapitations (which seem more eye candy than actual real gameplay advancements) and graphics what has changed from NG to NG2? Now, i believe that a game like God of War 3 will be alot better recieved. Sure its gonna suffer the "more of the same" problem (unless they bring in a whole new gameplay system) but what will save it is the story! The story will be sumthing new that you havent seen so the game will feel vastly different, while NG2 will be NG1 with blood a few new weapons and better graphics. The story or lack there of, makes it feel more repetitious than other sequels.

I think the emotional attachment to the MGS series will give it the edge. NGII is a very detached experience. Plus its the same old gameplay. MGS always shakes things up in every game. The level of depth is unbelievable. The amount of possible things you can do make each play through different each time. I don't see this really happening.

NG2 is flopping all over the place while MGS4 is getting praise from alot of magazines and gamesites so I dont really see NG2 scoring higher then MGS4.

DMC 4 was good. Not great, not terrible just good. It had very nice graphics, fast gameplay and was a slight challenge. Where it failed was the GOD awful story, tacky Japanese anime over the top cutscenes and horrible dialogue ( To many "hmm" and "Heh" responses from the characters)

DMC 4 was good. Not great, not terrible just good. It had very nice graphics, fast gameplay and was a slight challenge. Where it failed was the GOD awful story, tacky Japanese anime over the top cutscenes and horrible dialogue ( To many "hmm" and "Heh" responses from the characters)

I liked DMC4...the only thing that bothered me was the repeat levels and bosses

I think of it like this, God of War on the PSP got slammed down on Gamespot because it offered "nothing new" to the table as far as gameplay.

It seems the common theme in these reviews for NG2 (so far) says it suffers the same fait. If we are to go by what gamespot said about God of War on PSP, NG2 is probably going to get an 8 or 8.5. It's not worthy of AAA because it offered nothing new.....specially after NGS on the PS3 seems to be pretty much on par with it no matter what Lems seem to think.

Sigma was a remake. NG2 is not a remake. Sigma is the same as NG Black with improved graphics.

Ninja Gaiden Black still beat out NG: Sigma in the overall score.
