You have brought shame upon your family, you know what must be done.
This game has to be one of the most over-rated things in gaming.
It's up there with the Dreamcast *The Saturn owned this console in everyway shape and form*
Seriously this game isn't that hard, Shinobi for the PS2 was harder then this, and don't make me pull out the shoot-em-ups.

There are harder games on the market. As long as block and don't button mash the game is not that hard especially on normal. You must not be very skilled.

Beat Ninja Gaiden.... or Hari Kiri time.
I didn't find Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox 1 that difficult. Do the same two moves over and over: that running slash attack and inzurama drop or whatever it is, Got me all the way to the part where Ryu hops off the exploding train, Then I quit out of boredom. 'Round next corner: Oh look. Three more enemies. Same two moves, next corner. Oh, look. Three more. Of the same guys...br0kenrabbit
Probably, because you kept using the same two moves.

 Shinobi.
Not even CLOSE to being as good/hard as NG.
Then wouldn't that mean the game balance is off, if I can get 3/4 of the way through the game using just two moves?Probably, because you kept using the same two moves.

I pretty much agree. Except for the final boss on Shinobi on Super difficulty. That boss > Everyone in NG

Hands rpgfan360 a kantoJust freaking block. It's not that hard.OverthrowBlocking won't stop em all the time. The tougher ninjas (purple/white ninjas and red ninjas) can break your guard with their giant shurikens or just plain regular moves, and if they get tired of you standing there blocking they will flip over you, imaple you with their swords, and take a third of your health away. :(

im pretty sure you used more than two moves.
No. I'd round a corner and slash at the closest enemy, drop him, get the essence, slash next guy, drop him, get the essence, and so on. The only time I used other 'special' moves was on those two worm things in the sewer. Then all I did was that spinning attack when they came up on the ledge I was on. If the game is suppose to be so challenging, it should be challenging. Not 'do this and win'.[QUOTE="_en1gma_"][QUOTE="Dencore"]This game has to be one of the most over-rated things in gaming.

That's what I love about Ninja Gaiden, it will keep you on your toes.

Yes, but blocking is the first step to mastering the rest of the game. It'll get him through the first level at least, then he can fight Murai 100 times before he strikes a sufficient balance between attack and defense.

Not really, it depends on how you play it.
Maybe it's my old-school roots: find enemy pattern, step between it, attack. But that's all enemies in NG do, is follow a very basic pattern. It's easy to figure out, and take advantage of. Heck, I had guys in that one place where the helicopter attacks humping walls as I stood right up against them, because their path-finding was a little off. Probably the reason I like games with no real patterns, like Civ or Total War, or Flight Sims or whatever. Pathfinding is too easy to take advantage of. That one place where you start out kinda on the hill...same place you go back through several times, with all the courtyards that look the same. I found a few spots on there where I could just stand in a certain spot and the enemies would run in circles, and I was like in the middle of the courtyard, just standing on a statue. I could punch them as they ran by but they still didn't see me. Then in the church after that chick shows up, right after that there's some world objects you can stand on that send the enemy into their crazies. But even without taking advantage of pathfinding, once you figure out how the enemies are gonna move there's no challenge. You just step somewhere else.[QUOTE="rpgfan360"]It doesnt like me, it never lets me win, i always die and yes i only like games on normal mode and i dont like challeing games i had no idea what i was getting into when i bought black.OXIIIIXO

Get to the boss, die, start over. I've gone through this process about 15 times so far.

hehe..assuming you haven't beaten Normal, wait till you try Hard, then Very Hard, and then Master Ninja. You're in for some good frustrating times. ^^
