Ninja Gaiden Sigma Confirmed For July Release Along With Lair

Ninja Gaiden Sigma Reached Golden Status. It will be launching on th 14th June in Japan with a North American release date set for July 3 followed with European release date which has not yet been set.

"Hayashi stated. He also revealed the release dates of the game for Japan and North America. It will be launched in Japan on 14th June and in North America on 3rd July."

july is going to be superb month two of the most highly anticipated ps3 games to arrive in the same month cant wait! :D

It was a damn shame.  Ninja Gaiden Black was a great game to send off the original Xbox. 

 Cool. I don't know what to expect from Lair but I expect NGS will score well and sell about a million copies in total (overall).

I doubt it. NG and DMC don't appeal to many people for some reason judging by their sales.

IF VF5 couldn't significantly push console sales, what makes you think a remake (and yes, it's pretty much the PS3 equivilent of "The Twin Snakes") will?

that has a fairly simple answer....the reason VF5 doesnt push PS3's......because arcades are still massively popular in japan and they'd prefer to play it in arcades.

Games like these do better in the states now a days. Japan seems to be big on quirky games, and pokemon. The answer to microsoft and sony's problems in Japan is not a JRPG or a hardcore action game, it's a really really weird game that nobody in the west would understand, for some reason the Japanese eat that type of thing up.

Come on guys, quit trying to dispel the cow delusion that ANY PS3 game will actually cause someone to want to buy one...DXGreat1_HGL

The Wii is fairing just as poor as PS3 is when it comes to software, but people look over the fact due to the sales.

I don't think anyone is expecting it to. It's simply an awesome game for hardcore gamers and those who didn't play NG on XBOX.

And here I always hear you say sales don't matter. Ninja Gaiden was amazing on xbox and will be amazing on PS3. You don't need sales to tell me that. But its still funny to see you say good for sales lol.

i have to disagree with the software comment. wii has alot more games being released for it then ps3 does. yes they may not be 3A a titles but wii is getting alot more titles then ps3 and even what the 360 got in its same time period. hell next month they have 17 titles scheduled to come out while ps3 only has 6. people say wii has poor software lineup but it has over 50 games out now and if you add in the vc titles its easily over 100 titles this far.

The game really should be pushed back a couple of months. It's going to be sadly a sleeper hit because of the lack of consoles out currently. But then again, maybe at some point it'll hit the 1 million mark. If R;FoM can, why can't Sigma?hotdaisy18

Resistance is a mass market game that appeals to a larger demographic than Ninja Gaiden. While I favor Ninja Gaiden, the average consumer, generally, wants a game that has online multiplayer. Games like Ninja Gaiden and Devil May Cry sell well, but not well enough in comparison to shooters (unfortunately).

What the PS3 needs is for MGS4 to be released this year. After listening to the 1UP podcast and reading over a few of their threads, a lot of people seem to be waiting for MGS4 to be released for their purchase of the PS3. Maybe MGS4 is bigger than we think around here in SW. I dunno. I'll be enjoying Simga in July no doubt.

The thing is...I'm not interested int VC nor alot of the games coming to Wii. I don't want ports with waggle and minigames..but I know this'll change.

Just a guess, but I think we'll see it officially announced at TGS this year.
