It will be ownage if Itagaki can't out do NGS with NG2, no load times, real time CG looking cutscenes, FANTASTIC graphics. Yeah I'm definitely getting Sigma and soon NG2 :wink:

Can't wait for this game on PS3, it's going to look and play insane.

And if Heavenly Sword turns out to be as good as the demos have suggested, Sony will OWN the action genre this year.

Yeah that game sounds pretty sick i still wish it would come over to 360 but i doubt it. as long as the 360 gets ninja gaiden 2 i'll be alright cuz the 360 needs a ninja gaiden game

The folks from CVG were able to sit down with the director of Tecmo's Ninja Gaiden: Sigma, Yosuke Hayashi. Game details were revealed, a progress report was sort of given, and the director was surprisingly hands off when it came to commenting on the PS3's sales performance. When asked about how far along in development the game is, Hayashi informs that it's at around 50 percent. He says that "the mountain-top [they're] aiming to reach is now within sight" and that their development team is no longer a stranger to the PS3 platform. He reassures that their team can handle the PS3 much better than before and things are going pretty well. When asked how different Ninja Gaiden on the PS3 will be from Ninja Gaiden on the Xbox, Hayashi says that what they did was like adopting a totally new design and specification for a car. He explains, "It's going to be endless if I start counting the differences from the original. It's not that we simply added something to it but more like we have improved the car's engine." As for taking advantage of the PlayStation Network, Hayashi informs that through PSN players will be able to compare worldwide scores and rankings. Hayashi also says that due to the PS3's hard disk, players won't be bothered with loading screens while playing Ninja Gaiden: Sigma. As for the rumor that Ninja Gaiden: Sigmawill also be available for the Xbox 360, Hayashi says: "I would take that rumour as proof that people's expectations for Sigma must be very high. But it is just a rumour." Finally, Hayashi's take on the PS3's performance so far? We'll let Hayashi's words deliver the message to you folks. He says: I am not an analyst. I'm just a game developer. My mission is to provide the best action game for PS3 users. That's all that matters to me, and I promise that you'll experience something really fantastic with Sigma.

I think it's amazing how all the cutscenes are done in real time now and not CGI like they were on the Xbox. NGB had some ****ing breathtaking cutscenes that I would rather watch than many today.

As much as i liked the original Ninja Gaiden, I couldn't care less about sigma. 2 remakes in less than 3 years is way too much for me. We should be playing the sequel already.

Hiyashi is way better then Itagaki this game will prove that the student has beaten the master if NG2 doesn't look as good as Sigma and considering that all Itagaki games look like anime with doll like characters, he wont be able to better sigma because his incapable of making realistic graphics.

Well it's silly to think he won't outdo NGS with NG2. I mean look at the facts: -there is NO WAY PS3 will be tapped out with NGS, so there's no reason 360 won't be able to at the very least match or surpass the visuals. I mean PS3 may be more powerful, but not by leaps and bounds -there will be the fresh "wow" factor in NG2, with new levels, bosses, and a new storyline. That WILL affect people's perception of it (or at least reviewers) -Itagaki will at the very least lift the new gameplay elements (or at least the good ones) from NGS and apply them towards NG2 It's silly to think somehow NGS will surpass the eventual release of NG2

Hayashi's team is doing a lot more than improving the graphics, they're adding a number of elements which couldn't be done on the original Xbox. The TC is just anxious to see how much better Itagaki can improve on the NG series; there's no need to get so defensive.

the funniest thing ive seen thus far is the misconception this is not a port. yes it is. The game has been made before. IT IS NOT ORIGIONAL. then it must be a what? Port. ok now on to the most ignorant dam thing ive heard in about 30 seconds. The student becomes the master. ( correct saying.) That is so far from the truth it's not even considerable for a laugh. I dont care what you say, or your buds think, if it's written on a stone from ancient times, broadcasted from the future in lemon scented bubbles. It doesnt matter if midgets carrying peanut and jelly marinated monkey nipples with magic wands granted you 3 wishes all while pumping purple elephants out their aszes. Your asumption of teacher and master will never come true.

A port is a technical term. It is taking the original code and adapting it to the PS3s hardware -- they are not doing that. They are rebuilding the game from the ground up. Hence, the right term is REMAKE. Just like The Departed is a remake of Infernal Affairs.

Who said it wasnt possible?Its just as much possible for the PS3 to have no loading times just like the 306.:|Tony Hawk for 360 had no loading times(not Project 8,the other one),and that was a launch title.

Ive been reading nothing but positive previews for Ninja Gaiden Sigma so far. It should keep me busy until NG2 finally comes out. Who knows when that will be though. Hopefully no later than Q4, 2008.

Hmmm. the guy who made the game or the guy who just has to pretty it up. i think you should do some research on your developers before talking about Itagaki. It's an insult you even question him on something so nonchalant. He is making NG2. He already made the game Hayashi is upgrading now.

They tend to forget that Sigma is a PORT of the xbox game with HD graphics, but they never played Ninja Gaiden so they're amazed by the same graphics we've already seen in the xbox.

It's not a port. :| It's being built from the ground up, stop overhyping NGB graphics.
