Ninja Gaiden= the most overrated game of all time

i start off my morning by checking out a few game websites. they i get sickened by the cover story, NINJA GAIDEN 2 PREVIEW. let me tell u something, NINJA GAIDEN SUCKS. sadly i was one of the 360 owners looking foward to nj2 cause stupid me listened tothepetty hype and believed that this was,as that b**** hilary goldstien said, "a ground braking action playformer that sets the bar for others to come."so i puchased ninja gaiden to see what i was missing. turns out i wasnt missing a whole lot

let me stop my bickering and explain myself. i will give credit to team ninja for presenting quite polished graphics and smooth frame rate. the combat system is entertaining, as there are a fine variety of moves u can use to kill ur enemies. i also have no problem, actually i encourage aggressive AI, and that's to say the least in NJ. the final thing that i would give this game credit to is the customization for the weapons, health,& magic

this is where the fun stops

ive read several reviews of this game, which have said, "minor camera issues" that's one hell of an understatment. THE CAMERA IS GOD AWEFUL!! u will run into a hallway and ge shot at by someone u can even see, and this happens VERY OFTEN. the second boss battle hits toilet bottum as the horseman appears out of FREAKIN NOWHERE and hacks the living crap out of u. boss battle r just no fun because of this. as a hardcore gamer,i look foward to boss battles, yet in this game, i roll my eyes everytime i encouter one. i played the game hoping that it would end quickly. enviorments run from moderate to very bland, and the voice acting sucks.

now for the worse parts... what the hell is up with the respawning enemies? its inconsistant and just plain retarded as times enemies would appear, then disappear and never show up again, others will always be there no matter how many times u kill them. finally, let me just make this perfectly clear, aggressive AI+BAD camera angles+no check points=BAD GAME. u get hacked up by enemies that u cant even see (again with the camera) once u die, and u do die a lot, u will be sent back to the LAST save point. that's just plain bad game design, as u will have to endure the level of crap this game has to offer over, and over and over again each time u die

I love the game, but I think I am only of the only people who likes the PS2 Shinobi better. THAT game has no check points

Did you get Ninja Gaiden Black? Or the first (Xbox) one?

Because, although it's far from perfect, in black, they made some camera improvements. (you can click the right stick to stop it from going into 1st person view)

I had some problems with the camera at first as well (even in black) but after playing for a couple of hours, it really isn't as bad as a lot of people make it out to be.

After playing it for hundreds of hours it is still probably my favorite game on the Xbox.

But if you call a game overrated while most proffesional reviewers give the game AAA status, maybe there is more to the game than you give credit for.

Yes today some of its mechanics are dated and the camera takes a long time to get used to though with the patch it is much better. Blacks camera is better than original. You playing original?

Amazing game and I place NG:Black alongside DMC & GoW as three very brilliant games and tho similar all totally different. Great!!!

Seriously as a gamer, manticore or whatever you call them. This for its time on the original Xbox was an amazing game that equalled and well bettered the disappoining DMC2 (at that point). And was at the top of the pile of action adventure fighting games.

NG has been slated for years by many gamers(cows) til they got Sigma now theirs more and more threads on how it sucks and is over-rated. Grow up please...

If anybody favours a console its to the console being favourable. Years ago the PS2 got a lot of favourtism but thats coz it had a great library while GC and XBX had a much smaller library.

I favour X360 but thats coz my time with Wii and PS3 havent impressed me as much as I've had with the 360. Will that change I'm sure it will at some point I aint no blind fanboy and follow my instincts and own decisions. Not a brand...

GoW is a great game and so is NG. Both are very different but both are very great. I prefer NG but I'd never say GOW is rubbish coz its repetitive combat with little skill compared to NG. If all games were the same they'd get boring quick.

Me 2. The first time I played the game I got my a$$ handed to me by Murai several times.

I thought it was impossible to beat and I actually stopped playing it for several months.

When more and more friends told me to suck it up and give the game another chance, I did and now after finishing the game on all difficulties it is hard for me to see why i hated it so much.

Like I said in my first response, I can totally understand that the camera can really be annoying to someone at first, but after a while it really isn't that bad anymore.

Some people don't like the game, that is fine, but don't call a game overrated like the TC did, just because you don't like it.

But anyway Japan is a total different demographic. They love JRPG's, beat-em ups, adventure games and are very wary of Western games.

Me I like both but then I'm European and like to find the best of all worlds.

I agree with him. God Of War is button mashing goodness. The less skilled are prone to uphold GoW as the better game due to its easiness. Casuals will not survive in NG. They will most likely give up on the first boss, call the game overrated, and then say something like, "I have a life..that's why I suck at this game."

GoW is a great game and so is NG. Both are very different but both are very great. I prefer NG but I'd never say GOW is rubbish coz its repetitive combat with little skill compared to NG. If all games were the same they'd get boring quick.
