When are they going to get SERIOUS about online gaming?

Nintendo is just failing to give third party devs the online tools. I'm disappointed in this, but I must say... I'm not a huge MK fan anymore, so I don't feel too bad for it. I'm sorry the other fans have to deal with though... well SSBB has online, that's all I need for a fighter, but yeah... Ninty needs to crank it up more...yoshi_64

You should have known this seeing as Pokemon Battle Revolution will be US's first online game.

Not really... it's about Nintendo sucking at online.  That probably didn't need a thread though... it's pretty much common sense by now. :(

This doesn't matter at all. Super Mario Strikers and Smash Bros. is all they need for online. I thought this was a fact by now?

Nintendo has been doing a good job with the VC... but they need to focus on online for once. 

There's a slight difference between refusing to allow 3rd parties to go online and not having an online system ready.  If Nintendo's online system were already in place, we'd already have games from Nintendo themselves online.

Before the end of the year, it's a gurantee that there'll be an online 3rd party game released.

Also the game designers of arregaden(sorry for bad spelling guess) don't want to delay the game but if they did delay it mult. would be possible.

Don't know about you and your obviously superior intelect, but I think the MK controls look great. I'm much more concerned with playing than memorizing button combos.

And Splinter Cell and COD3 which both have great online for 360 and PS3, not to mention he games are actually good on those systems.

meh, my first online game will be strikers charged at the end of may. hopefully after that and pokemon other 3rd party games will come out with online ;)

Yeah could someone explain this to me, why didn't ninty go with the old fashioned User Name but instead chose to replace it with a bunch of random numbers?? 

I fail to understand why this is a surprise to so many people. We've known for ages that Nintendo has yet to give third party developers the tools needed to implement online play. And yet people are getting upset over MK: A not having online and someone brought up SC and CoD3.

 Give me a break. We know that Pokemon will have online and that game comes out next month, be patient.  If you honestly cannot live without online play in a few games and you are also not patient enough to wait for games that have been confirmed to possess online capabilities, I wonder how you can consider yourself a gamer.

Guess what? I lived without online play from 1989 when I first played an NES all the way until the year 2001 when I picked up Diablo 2. Personally, I can wait a few more weeks. If you have an X-Box, 360, PS3 or PC it shouldn't be too difficult.

That's unfortunate. Nintendo's online will probably be bare bones anyway so don't expect too much.dracula_16
