The new E3 preview BR is up
Apparently the Wii U launch lineup is great both 1st and 3rd party.

For those who didn't watch it, it was our good friend Pachter who said WiiU fine, 3DS doomed. So prepare for more 3DS domination and WiiU to be the biggest flop since the Dreamcast. The new E3 preview BR is up

Yeah they just don't get it. Nintendo is waiting out the summer for 3DS to become profitable, that's when I expect games/revision to start being announced/released and 3DS will take off in sales.
These Bonus Rounds are always good for a laugh or two. If the 3DS is dead, what does that make the Vita?
Pachter: "Wii-U will be absolutely fine and very competitive, the 3DS on the other hand is dead. They lost 50% of their market to tablets and its that reason why Nintendo lost money, not because of sluggish Wii sales."
Shane: "But...The 3DS is out selling the DS in terms of the same time period though...."
5 second silence of ownage
Pachter: "Well..."
Pure pwnage. Honestly, if talking bs gives you money then everyone should become a "game analyst".Pachter: "Wii-U will be absolutely fine and very competitive, the 3DS on the other hand is dead. Ha I got to this part and he had such a defeated face and dismissed it as "spin" :lol:Pachter: "Wii-U will be absolutely fine and very competitive, the 3DS on the other hand is dead. He does have a point in that 3DS is not doing that great outside Japan. But he is exaggerating his point just to attract attention.
I'm not as concerned as they seem to be becasue I follow Nintendo closely, something journalists/analysts do not it seems. There's a sht ton of software coming up.
[QUOTE="mexicangordo"]Pure pwnage. Honestly, if talking bs gives you money then everyone should become a "game analyst". This '3DS is being taken over by phones and stuff' is like piracy and second hand sales, a belief that is re-inforced every day to people inside the game industry. It is believed so unquestioningly by so many that it sucks people in. Why on Earth would smartphones and tablets be hurting the handheld industry? They offer $5 flashgames.Pachter: "Wii-U will be absolutely fine and very competitive, the 3DS on the other hand is dead. What I find wierd is how all the panelists thinks the casuals have moved on to tablets/smartphones (in regards to Wii U)... they're so wrong :P

Its actually doing solid outside of Japan. He would have had an actual point if he did not over-exaggerate to emphasize Nintendo should go moblie (like every other analyst...) or suggest it is the main focal point for their financial troubles. The tablet/phone gaming has cut into Nintendo's market for sure, however, Nintendo and plenty evidence suggests the 3DS issues were with its awful launch.Shane, Pachter and Jeff all mentioned that the 3DS won best of E3 show from just about every major journalist/site, on top of the crazy amount of hype it got. Pacther clearly points that they "accidentally" priced it too high while Shane points out the weak launch really hurt the system. The 3DS is currently in a huge turn around phase and is clearly doing well across all regions but trying to re-gain that lost momentum in the US and especially U.K.
And I really thought Adam Sesslers comments were the worst by FAR.
Sessler: "I dont think Nintendo should focus on the 3DS at all, it will just confuse people and take away the main focus of the Wii-U to gain the hardcores trust..."
What an idiotic statement, Pachter even laughed at it and said the Wii-U will do very well (not to use him as a very stable nor credible source.) Sesslers comments were just overly negative, made it seem like Nintendo has a lot of main points to focus on. Which I disagree with-they do however, have to re-introduce the system, which in essence is difficult after the abysmal reveal of the Wii-U.
