According to Stéphan Bole, General Manager at Nintendo France, the DS crushed it's own last year record (1.4m for 2006) by selling 2.2 millions in France in 2007.
The Wii also performed well, and managed to sell a little more than 1m in 2007.
According to Zdnet's informations, the PSP was the 3rd best selling hardware at 600k, followed by the PS3 at 500k and the XBOX360 at 200k.

the hardware market for 2007 is estimated by GfK at a record €1.1b compared to €568m for 2006.
Nearly 5m hardware have been sold (3m for 2006).

The French gaming market (including software and accessories) is evaluated between €2.3b and €2.4b. (Nintendo claims 50% of it).

DS: 4.2m (overall)
X360: 500k (overall)
PS3: 500k (overall)

Xbox: 750k

surfer, you give sheep a bad name. For a long time they hadn't posted anything about sales, and just let the others squabble about the PS3 selling a little more. Now you're bringing back the sheep sales stereotype. Feels good to be a manticore nowadays.

Holy heck; why does france not like the 360? :? It's so weird that it's like half an hour through the channel tunnel from the UK, yet the cultural differences are immense.

The 360 sells really well in the UK consistantly. Yet it fails completely such a short distance away elsewhere.

I love it how they also completely fail to realize that when a console gets more sales it gets more support, and usually ends with the rival platform losing support. It will be the DS and PSP all over again.
