I am tired of you guys claiming somebody never played the game or went in with a negative attitude towards the game when the person says they do not like the new iteration of the game. I grew up on the NES and I have owned every Nintendo console.

Right now imo, Nintendo butchered every franchise I liked from them. Zelda:TP was trash, SMG was just way too easy(took away the fun for me besides its troublesome controls), SSBB just wasn't as fun as melee or SSB(N64) for me, and Mario Kart Wii( I haven't played the game yet so I do not know if it is good or bad) just looks bad (graphically) compared to Mario Kart Double dash.

I loved their games in the past and it was only obvious I would care about those games again. Unfortunately they all flopped for me except for Mario Kart wii because I haven't played it yet. YOu Nintendo fanboys need to stop discrediting people opinions because they think the game is not up to par. You have no right to say somebody went in playing the game with a negative mindset or never played the game. These are the only games I ever cared for from Nintendo and right now the Wii is a flop as a gaming console for me. It has not given me the same enteratinment and fun value as Nintendo previous consoles. The N64 for me was their best system.

So you Nintendo Fanboys need to stop acting like everyone is hating on the wii beecause of its success in the hardware department. Most of us grew up with Nintendo and just see that they are not delivering as they used too. Yes you will like the games, but you have to understand that these Nintendo classics are starting to lose their appeal. Especially when the games are not as fun as they used to be.

The next Zelda game better be awesome or I am going to be done with them this gen.

Show some pity. The Nintendo fanboys probably lost their sanity after the Gamecube drug them through hell.

I grew up on the NES too, but grew out of the Nintendo stuff after the nintendo 64. We had a gamecube in the house, never touched it, not once. By that time all of their stuff was tired to me

Most of them think I am just anti nintendo or anti wii when that isn't the case. If the games were fun and I was having a blast there wouldn't be an issue. The problem is I am bored of all the games and these are the only reason why I buy a Nintendo system. If the games that I see are the best in it genre suck ,why should I be proud of this machine.

personally I enjoy Nintendo Newer Titles then there older ones. I as not a fan of Wind Waker, to much Ocean. I was not a big fan of Mario Sunhine. I think Brawl way better then Melee. So Nintendo been on the right track for me anyway. I just want some ROGs which seem to be coming its way. I had a blast with Dragon Quest Swords but it was to short, hopefully Dragon Quest X well come to it. But I still enjooyed the Wii far more the nthe Cube, I guess it my do with the resason I can buy my own games now that I got a job. The only game I got on the Wii that I did not like was sadly Star Trek Conquest...makes me wonder if I'll ever see a great Star Trek game again.

I'm never with the first place console.

1) N64

2) Gamecube

3) Xbox 360

But yeah...Wii games are Gamecube games. Period / end of story. Nintendo fanboys are the worst fanboys ever. Nintendo games are not bad but not gifts from god like most of these fanboys say.

Wind waker was awesome. I originally didn't want to be bothered with it because it was cel shaded, but I caved in and played it. It was a good game. I find it way better than TP.

It's mostly due to the fact that despite their whole abuse of the word innovation their scared as hell to make new ground. Their last real new intelectual property was Pikmin which came out in 2001.

Nintendo just takes things that already are succesfull and spams the living hell out of them. Its what they do.

So really, the only peole who cold honestly enjoy Nintendo's recent efforts are either

A) Nintendo fanboys

or

B) People who aren't so familiar with Nintendo

I don't even need innovation. Just give me a great game. Push your system to its limits. Make a great multiplayer game with a great online experience. That is all they have to do for me. ALso make a worthwhile new ip.

I disagree with everything you said. TP was far from a bad game. It wasn't as good as Wind Waker but hey, most games aren't. Super Mario Galaxy is the best game Nintendo has made in the past 10 years. Brawl is better than Melee in every way possible from balance to replayability. And Mario Kart Wii's graphics don't matter, the gameplay matters and it plays way better than Double Dash.

Oh I did love it. Just there was to much ocean in my taste, I like if it had bigger lands. Did not to seems to have as many levels as other Zelda games as well. I liked Twilight Princess more, but that's me. I did hate how easy Ganon was.

My favorite Zelda's though were the 64 games.

And I would like Nintendo to stop letting Pokemon rot, have the Mother series to come back to regions other than Japan and to see them have new games instead of Mario and Pokemon spin offs, but I can assure you this will NEVER happen.

Same here. I liked the ocean aspect. It made you feel like a pirate on the seas. I just wished there where some weather conditions that played a role as a gameplay aspect. Would have been cool to see a Tsnami coming at me and I had to find a way to survive.

you have to understand that these Nintendo classics are starting to lose their appeal.

sorry, my opinion is that the nintendo classics are still amazing. game scores on gamerankings show that the majority of gaming publications would agree with me on this one. sure, it's your opinion, and you are entitled to it. but i don't "have to understand" that nintendo games are losing their appeal, because i don't agree.

Yeah -- too bad your wrong about Nintendo ruining franchises. Super Mario Galaxy brought back a dieing genre. It was innovative, and COLOURFUL -- something that a lot of 'next gen' games are missing.

TP was far from a bad game. That is correct. But it was also far from a great game. It was the only Zelda game I haven't beaten (besides Phantom Hourglass but I'll beat it soon). The game is just too similar to the other installments. I originally didn't like Wind Waker but looking back its a very good game and brought new things to the table even though it had too much sailing.

I've played Galaxy once and I didn't really think it was "one of the greatest" games ever made. Sure its a great game but its just all too familiar. But hopefully Galaxy will spark people to start making platformers again. I really miss the genre and if Galaxy does one thing...it's convinced people that they still can be great and that they can sell.

Brawl is Melee. End of story.

Just like Mario Kart Wii is Mario Kart Double Dash with only a single rider and motorcycles.

After pokemon crystal I stopped playing the game. From my understanding and base don what I have seen, you play one you played them all. I know recently hey changed a few things up , but overall it has the same concept. I grew up on the cartoon and was a huge fan of the series at one point, but now it is just meh.

In a lot of ways it felt like the Xbox and MS stepped into to sweep up a lot of DC and sega lovers who were left out in the cold.

Sadly, Sega has never felt the same. They have published some really good games, but it would be sweet to see Sonic get a great game on one the current gen consoles, even with the Wii, but I would prefer the ps3/360.

Right now imo, Nintendo butchered every franchise I liked from them. Zelda:TP was trash, SMG was just way too easy(took away the fun for me besides its troublesome controls), SSBB just wasn't as fun as melee or SSB(N64) for me, and Mario Kart Wii( I haven't played the game yet so I do not know if it is good or bad) just looks bad (graphically) compared to Mario Kart Double dash.

too_much_eslim

If Zelda TP, SMG, and Brawl were butchering of franchises then please do not play any sequels developed by any other dev. They are all quality games even if they aren't as good as their precursors. They still rank higher above most games.

Yeah -- too bad your wrong about Nintendo ruining franchises. Super Mario Galaxy brought back a dieing genre. It was innovative, and COLOURFUL -- something that a lot of 'next gen' games are missing.

The platformer is not a dieing genre, we get a billion of them a year. And we haven't goten more than usual since Galaxy's release.

And Peease tell me how Galaxy was innovative. Best joke I've heard so far.

I am not wrong because it was my opinion. My opinion can't be wrong. I didn't say it was a fact. I don't know why toss around the word innovative as though SMG was such an innovative game.

Show some pity. The Nintendo fanboys probably lost their sanity after the Gamecube drug them through hell.

[QUOTE="too_much_eslim"]

Blackbond

If Zelda TP, SMG, and Brawl were butchering of franchises then please do not play any sequels developed by any other dev. They are all quality games even if they aren't as good as their precursors. They still rank higher above most games.

What you say is true, but I do not play those games in those genres.

TP yes it was disappointing

SMG....there must be something wrong with you.

I hardly bashed SMG. I said that it was way too easy(which made it not fun for me) and that I didn't like the controls.

[QUOTE="yellowandmushy"]I disagree with everything you said. TP was far from a bad game. It wasn't as good as Wind Waker but hey, most games aren't. Super Mario Galaxy is the best game Nintendo has made in the past 10 years. Brawl is better than Melee in every way possible from balance to replayability. And Mario Kart Wii's graphics don't matter, the gameplay matters and it plays way better than Double Dash.yellowandmushy

Brawl is Melee. End of story.

Just like Mario Kart Wii is Mario Kart Double Dash with only a single rider and motorcycles.

And we're back to what I just said. Nintendo just spams the hell out of already existed series. They dare not even come up with new intelectual properties.

They came out with like 3 new IPs last gen and like 2 this gen.

N64 - Animal Crossing

Gamecube - Pikmin

GBA - Golden Sun, Advance Wars

DS - Nintendogs

These are the only IPs that people should use. Geist, Custom Robo, and others are just flops that went nowhere. People don't take them seriously. The above IPs are the only ones that should count.

5 on 4 platforms in 7 years is just disgusting. I'm sorry but you can't defend that.

What was wrong with the controls? You used the analog stick to move and the A button to jump. :?

The motion controls were not as responsive as I would like for certain aspects of the game.

Um eveything is a opion. If somebody said SMG was the best game ever isn't it their opinion. I still say to this day that Ocarina of Time is the best game I ever played. Is it not my opinion. All the reviews are opinions. If SMG recieved nothing but 7's and 8's you would say the industry doesn't know what a good game is.

Advance wars started on the NES

Animal Crossing was first on the N64 in japan.

Camelot made Golden Sun, not Nintendo.

So really all you have is a generic dog sim and Pikmin which started SEVEN years ago.

Theres no denying it, Nintendo capitalises pretty much on Mario, Pokemon and Zelda.

What platformers have been good in the last 10 years? All have been generic pieces of garbage -- the only exception is ratchet and clank

Platformers went no where beyond what SM64 set as the standard. After that, what was there huh? The same old same old. SMG comes along and brings something new -- It changed the way we think when we play platformers. What other platformers have physics and gravity as a major device in it?

Exactly.
