Not like I want them to, but whatever :(. Well I mean for ME they were delivering all the way up until the Wii. Good system and I am glad I own it (Skyward Sword WOOT!), but it is just not what I would have wanted. for $100 more it could have been and I would have certainly paid that no problem.

Everyone paid $250 for a console that is a cube with motion support. That really is what it is, and that is not okay. I bought a second one for Zelda and such as I love Nintendo games, but the system, while reliable and nice, is a piece of junk really.

Saying the Wii is just a "cube with motion support" is just as ridiculous as saying that the Ps3 is just a "sooped-up Ps2 with BlueRay" and that the 360 is just "sooped-up Xbox with many shooters"

no I've been happy with all of Nintendos consoles, and actually preferred the n64 to the ps1. I like that the consoles offers something different, otherwise you might as well just buy one console.

The thing is that the kind of software avaliable for non Nintendo platforms does not appeal to me that much.

If it wasn't for Nintendo I might've had a console to play a few gems but I wouldn't care much for gaming in general.

No it is not actaully. What big features has the Wii added and done well that the Cube could not do? Pretty much nothing except motion right? I love motion for games like Metroid Prime, but outside of that it has been gimmicky and unnecessary. The PS3 on the other hand has WAY better graphics, Physics, AI, view distance, and much more that adds to immersion and gameplay, not to mention blu-ray, great online, and hmmm maybe a harddrive. I am still bitter at Nintendo for selling us a cube with motion and making too many casual games, but indeed I love Mario, Metroid and Zelda, and they stepped their game up with "core" game production lately, so I bought another Wii.

I dunno, if the Wii 2 is somehow a best seller and on par with the other consoles, it might get some of the awesome 3rd party stuff.

Nearly all of Ninty's systems have been great save the obvious Virtual Boy and this gen's Wii (not a terrible console but still very disappointing). It's not like Nintendo has a long history of shoddy products; I would hope with the oodles of money they have made this gen we will see a significant improvement for the 'Wii 2' or w/e it is to be called.

The Wii 1) Stronger than the last-gen consoles 2) Has online play, unlike the GC (which ONLY played games), with voice chat, downloadable games (Wiiware and VC) etc. 3) Netflix and other features in the Wii system And so on If you played games that had gimmicky and unnecessary motion controls, then blame the developers. As evident from Metroid Prime.

Okay so people seem to say that NES and SNES where great.

So, are you forgetting that Mario 64, Ocarina of Time and GoldenEye revolutionized their genres and overall set the standard for what a 3D game is. They brought analog gaming to the table with N64 and the yellow c-buttons that let you control the camera independently of your character which was mind blowing then.

Gamecube was Nintendo's lowest point overall there's no arguing about that.

We not talking about the qualtiy of the system, or Ninty's games, but whether 3rd party will ever return to fully support them.

3rd party ok but some people say that because they lacked 3rd parties, N64 sucked which is laughable.

Rare games where the only ones that could fool me for being made by Nintendo themselves. They had the N factor with a twist of British humor xD

Nintendo has had the best exclusives every gen. If they put out a console for next gen that is about as powerful as what gets put out by Sony and Microsoft, the 3rd party will come. This is the age of the multiplat, afterall. Nintendo is really in a position to dominate because they are the only console maker who also makes good games.

Problem is that MS and Sony are not ready to forget dual analog gaming. Nintendo has integrated motion and IR into their core franchises, this is the route their going.

Graphics is only one thing of the equation. If next gen we have another go with dual analog as the main controller you'd still have games made for Sony and MS in mind, then ported to Wii 2 which means that the games won't be made with motion in mind = afterthought because some Wii games are impossible to play with a dual analog setup.

Nothing about the ps2 system was godlike. It just had the best games through a very strong 3rd party. Nobody can afford to make 3rd party exclusives anymore, so I wouldn't expect Sony to dominate like they did with the ps2 again unless the industry drastically changes.

I really hope Nintendo will make motion control secondary with their next console. Seeing what they are reducing Zelda to thanks to motion controls makes me so sad. An improved Gamecube controller as the standard would be bliss.

Nintendo hasn't been good with third party support as of late, but they're trying to gain more third party support with the 3DS and (hopefully) their next console. So far Nintendo's third party plan has been successful for Japanese publishers, but Western developers have yet to take Nintendo platforms seriously.

do we really want FOUR nearly identical systems on the market? (sorry PC gamers but the PC has lost its "magic" this gen) Bravo to Nintendo for trying something new and shame on all those develpers and publishers who have no balls or creativity.

I might actually buy a Ninty console ifit had modern hardware with 3rd party support. Sadly, I think those days are over. Ninty saw how much money they can make by using last gen hardware.

Wii 2 will probably be a downgraded version of the 360 or something else cheap to make in 2015.

Nintendo will take this into account and spread out the, actually very lite, sword combat with puzzles / cutscenes / dialogue so no worries.

As for the "swinging around", that's nothing we can do about really. Your loss.

Um... I was happy with Gamecube, and I'm happy with Wii. Many great SP games on each system.

Also, while I don't know alot of the N64's library, some of my fav games are on it. Paper Mario, OoT, Majora's Mask...

I'd say that Nintendo consoles have always delivered.

no I've been happy with all of Nintendos consoles, and actually preferred the n64 to the ps1. I like that the consoles offers something different, otherwise you might as well just buy one console.APiranhaAteMyVa
I agree I liked PS1 but when I got an N64 I just didn't want to go back to PS1 games. Also my favorite console of all time is the GCN.

I thought the Wii was delivering pretty well. The only thing I don't like is the lack of multiplats which is why I got a PS3 eventually.

The Wii and GameCube both had/have great games and the DS was an amazing device. I don't get your point.

The N64, Gamecube and Wii were worth it. All these system had great 1st and 3rd party games. Not sure what you're talking about.
