Ok I've been playing brawl since saturday morning(yes I got it early). GREAT GAME loving it, But the online is a joke, a cruel and hateful joke. This is the same as it is in all the Wii's online game. I scream for more but what I get is nothing. The game makes me wait 5-10 minutes seeking players then kicks me out. It does it repeately over and over again.

I cant' even use the feature which I desired so much.

Then when I get there it lags horribly.

Then I look back at a game which I brought hugely for online

Pokemon Battle REvoltuion. it filled my poke needs but the online was laggy.

Then I desire to talk to teh people especially since you can keep playing with the same group over adn over again if your not kicked out of the server.

but wait I cant, nintendos fear of PEDO's getting to the kiddies stop thats.

Its like Super mario Chargers all over again. I had to frickien call my friend on his cell just so we can chat and play(lucky we have unlimeted minutes)

Does Nintendo care or even try or they barely putting this highly desired featured in just to say they have it but dont really try to make it worth its weaight in potential awsome goal.

cause all they do is

Cause this is getting on my nerves

This is their biggest game of the year unless they have something specail under their sleeves

the game which is supposed to combat the

PS3:MGS4

360:GeOW2

PC:Starcraft2

on the biggest exclusives of the year table

I'm a bit disappointed with the online... but with all the players wanting to go online, it's going to be laggy. Remember the 360 debacle after Christmas?

However, online with friends works great and playing with others next to you is way better than online multiplayer anytime.

So true. Whenever me and my friends want to play some split screen on 360 we can't because none of the games support it, in a way it's a good thing that Nintendo still supports this.

They've tried to justify the lack of voice chat by saying something like "according to our surveys it wasn't a big deal". I can't remember the exact quote, but I remember thinking they're either full of it, or they obviously have not talked to gamers because I have heard nothing but negative responses to this.

If a game touts multiplayer as a gameplay option and fails to deliver it shouldn't receive AAA status in my opinion.

Of course according to reviewers it's okay for Nintendo. Yes it breaks my heart too as someone who camped for a Wii, but the fact is Nintendos online is far worse than anybody elses online.

At TC Pokemon online was a joke and the worst $50 I spent this generation.

Sounds like a lame and untruthful excuse, because to "core gamers" it is important. I, like topic creator, feel a little offended.

and brawl seems to work fine for some people. See my point. Its not broken, its just slow in some areas because some areas are laggier than others. you'd be a fool to think that the game will remain laggy indefinately.

play people only in your region, to begin with. so dont just randomly add wii codes u find online. then secondly most new games that just come out. usually have massive server lag cuz everyone wants to try the same game out. at the same time.

The Wii is actually a rather directionless console elsewhere to. It is the main reason I haven't bought one despite previously hailing the NGC as a the best system last gen. Nintendo wants to reach out to retain their hardcore base, but the have only a few hardcore games and are dumbing down a few series so that they will be more approachable. They want the console to be dedicated to gaming, but they waste time with Wii Channels. They want it to be "always on" with WiiConnect24, but almost nothing supports the original vision they propagated and you only have 512MB of memory. They want everyone to be connected, but the online is garbage and makes the PS2 look like a Internet mainframe. That wanted it to be affordable, but they charge $250 for a console only slightly more advanced then the already profitable gamecube selling for $100.

In little more than one generation Nintendo gained and lost me as a fan.

hm... even though they lost you, i still say they made a great business move. after the last 2 gens where they were in last place, they needed to do something different or their future would be in jeopardy. they made these changes, now their future looks bright, maybe they'll make it up to you next gen. they cant please everybody all the time.

I would never deny the fact that they are making a killing. In today's market if they had done what I wanted they would certainly be less profitable, but I think the games would have been better.

I've been looking all January and Febraury but still can't find one. I just bought the game to make sure I had a copy. I shouldn't have done that because it seems like it's mocking me....

It'll be fixed soon I'm guessing and the online didn't always disconnect me; the first three hours of owning the game I could get online but the next morning I woke up the online wasn't working at all so I'm guessing this is all a technical problem that will be purged shortly.

Just a guess, but it'll get better once they get more servers up for it. Probly like Microsoft was over chirstmas, Nintendo was suprised by Wi-Fi connection ussage jump up with the release of brawl.

PS: The lag could be because of latiencey with your wireless router, not just the network, Perhaps you should check your connection strenght, or move you wii closer to the nearist access point.

It's funny. I've been hearing this and, yet, I experience no lag whatsoever when I play SSBB online.
