Nintendo has no confidence in the WiiU control pad?

Why would Nindendo release a xbox360 clone game pad along with the tablet controller unless they they knew there was a weakness with the tablet controller?

Kind of defeats the purpose of playing the Wii U with a normal controller, no second screen or touch controls. Might as well just have a xbox360 or ps3.

Im afraid Sony and Microsoft are going to catch on to this, force them to buy the console with the PSmove or Kinect, then sell them the dualshock seperately.

I find it pretty obvious some games will make no use of the Wii U GamePad, so this controler is a perfect option to replace it. Granted the place ment of the c-stick is weird but, who knows, it might be comfortable.

The GamePad is probaly really expensive, the Pro Controller is a cheaper multiplayer option.
