did you know that Sony copied the PS3 as well? Processors have been done on the PC for ages, it's nothing new. Visual output? Done to death. Buttons? New... in 1952. Come on, even the console is black, a color that's been around since creation. Sony is nothing new.
he has a point, the whole "nintendo is always innovating" is total bull.Eddie-Vedder
How so? Nintendo doesnt ALWAYS innovate, but they do it oftenÂ
The game and watch thing sure is ownage.
Man, too bad Ninetendo didn't think of that before Nintendo did. Man, Nintendo sure owned Nintendo by coming up with the two screen concept before Nintendo did. As a Nintendo fan, I'll take the ownage dished out to Nintendo by Nintendo for coming up with the concept before Nintendo did.
I'm gonna go cry while playing as Mr. Game and Watch in Super Smash Brothers Melee to sooth my pain.
I heard of this thing called a Game & Watch. It came out before the Game Boy, and it had 2 screens. So Nintendo have resorted to copying something thought up over a decade ago!
PS3_FTW
 So Nintendo copied themselves huh?Â
You sheep think Nintendo come up with all their 'brilliant' ideas on their own? You must be blind. Nintendo just copy from other companies, then pass the ideas off as their own. You sheep say Sony copy everything? Guess what, its the other way round! Let me explain:
Some features of the Wii include
Backwards compatibility
The first ever console to use backwards compatibility was the PS2. The gamecube didnt have BC, and it failed. Nintendo saw that BC was good, so they put it in the Wii
Downloadable games
Well its obvious they didnt come up with this. The Xbox 360 had a downloadable service before Wii.
The 'amazing' controller
You think Nintendo invented the motion sensing controller? Check out this patent, for a motion sensing controller for the PS2, 3 years before the Wiimote was first shown. Plus, of course, PS2 had the EyeToy, an obvious inspiration for the Wii
Web browser
The dreamcast had a web browser, this was back before the PS2, waaay before Wii's web browser came out
Miis
Come on, how many games on other consoles allow you to make a character to play as? Hundreds. The idea of using Miis in games is nothing new. There was better technology on the PS2, where you could use the EyeToy to take a picture of your face, then use it in the game

Not only can the PSP do this, but the last-gen PS2 can do even better, play DVDs
The ONLY thing the Wii has relitivley new is the weather and news channel, which I'm pretty sure nobody even uses. Besides, I can look for news and forecasts on the internet, which, as I said, can be done on the Dreamcast
How about the DS? Innovatve? I think not. Touch screens have been on electronics for years, its not exactly new technology. And I was just browsing round the internet a few days ago, and I heared of this thing called a Game & Watch. It came out before the Game Boy, and it had 2 screens. So Nintendo have resorted to copying something thought up over a decade ago!
So before you sheep go around accusing Sony of coppying ideas, think about what Nintendo 'invents'.PS3_FTW
OMFG!
Go and read some videogame history man!
You have no clue whatsover!
You just have no clue at all!

Hey TC, PS2 is not the first system to use backwards compatibility. I belive it was Atari 7800 that is the first and i might even be wrong on that, alot of you system war newbies need to do history research before you post. Hey Kids gaming didn't start during the PSONE, N64 era. Ok Thanks. And if you wanna get into it, Sega Masterbit did alot of unique things at its time to, it just didn't sell well cause Nintendo back in the day was the Sony of today, in time bullies get it thrown back at them.

You don't seem to get the big picture. First off, the only thing Nintendo is "guilty" of is improving on previous ideas; not "copying" as you put it. Think off where we would be if no one ever "copied" a previous idea. Sure Henry Ford wasn't the first to make a car; but he was the first to MASS PRODUCE THEM ON ASSMEBLY LINES, thereby taking the automobile industry to new extremes. The DS was not the invention of the touch screen, but they were the first to use it succesfully in a video game application. NOW HEAR THIS: NOTHING IN LIFE IS INVENTED. I'll say it again. NOTHING IN LIFE IS INVENTED. Everything we know today is a collage of previous ideas. "Creativity" is simply the ability to use your Intellegent Memory to "put the pieces together" pieces of stuff you've already heard and seen, put together in a new light; creativity. If no one ever used other people's ideas we'd still be trying to "invent" fire and the wheel. So technically, you could take ANY system and find something "copied" in EVERY aspect of the console. I could do it. Challenge me. Don't confuse inspiration with concept piracy.

How do you know it's not good? Have you ever tried it?
Haha i love this kid Sony copied Nintendo. Now im a big Nintendo Fan, see i actual like games, on all systems including PC. I come from the old school i enjoy games, not enjoy bashing like fanboys. Sony didn't copy Nintendo man, In 1993 Nintendo scrwed over Sony and Sony well said FU and then crushed Nintendo and you know what N64 might of been a much better system, Hell Event he Sega Saturn was better then PSONE but Sony just took over, fact. I'm an old school Nintendo Fan since the game and watch days, but you insane Nintendo Followers need to just shut up someitmes and realize They are not perfect either. Hence Virtual Boy, which started the demise. Hell Sega Genesis was winning in overall sales until DOnky Kong Country came out. Super Nes might have had the best RPGS but RPGS were for hardcore gamers back then. Final Fantasy 7 aka the most overated game evrer is what got trendy rpg fans into them. Remember that

Wow. That was quite moronic. But what can you expect coming from the mind of a fanboy. "PS3_FTW" :roll:1_Blood
PS3_FTW is a genius when he speaks its like the world stops spinning. You are just jelous becuase you can never reach
the same spirtuel level as PS3_FTW has done.
YES! time for another PS3_FTW threads!!!Nintendo has never been innovative? What was the first to have rumble? the n64. What was the first gaming system to use a touch screen? the DS. What was the first console to use motion sensing? The wii. What was the first console to use an analog stick? the n64. RedLobsterpwns
And Sony copied that idea from Nintendo.

Aqueas, find something copied in the 360's failure rate. 8)ZinkOxide
well, i don't even know what the hell that is, haha. If you're refering to how often they malfunction, I would have to say that the technology they use could not have been developed without knowledge of previous trials. In otherwords they "copied" what works best and imporved upon it. The code they use, can be traced back to the early days of code invention which could have only been done with previous code theories. But like I said, it's not "copying," it's utilizing what works best to drive the industry forward.
Actually, people who work with Nintendo made the Game & Watch.
They only brought back the idea, then reinvented it with touch screen compatability and allowed cartridge input for different games. They also added online Wifi.

Fine, Wii Sports 4/10, all the games are too simple, the graphics are plain, the music is boring. at least its freePS3_FTW... thought this guy was gone. Too bad...hazuki87
I hope he doesn't leave. I like when I see his threads.  They gives me a laugh, or at least a smile with each of his posts. We need posters like this, or System Wars would be boring. And we all need someone to be the flamebate:).
