Nintendo Is Already Working On A New Zelda 3DS Game! Thoughts?

Im really really surprised nobody mentioned this already.

Welli think most people would already guess nintendo is making a new 3DS game for every major nintendo character. But its nice to actually get confirmation from Nintendo themselves that a new zelda 3d is coming

If anyone read fully throught the newest issue of gameinformer, the magazine asked the zelda developers if they are working on an original zelda 3d game. They responded by saying, "Of course!.......I will give you a hint you probably wont understand. It will make 3D mean something"

I think this is great news for any 3DS user. What do you think it will most likely be, and does this unofficial announcement of a new zelda 3d give you more respect or hope for the handheld during this handheld war?

I think most likely the game will be another toon link game. The toon link series really does suit portable systems well

EAD Group 4 is developing Pikmin 3.

Their is hardly any overlapping between the two teams.

I'm interested to see where they go with this. Clearly with Ocarina of Time 3D Nintendo is capable of making full blown console style Zelda games for the platform, but I hope this doesn't mean its an end for the more 2D style Zelda games we expect on handhelds. Mostly I just don't want future handheld games in the series to simply be console Zelda games that are scaled back in ambition and scope (something one might say about the PSP God of War games, for example). I don't beleive either DS Zelda games could match anything that the 3D console Zelda games have done, but they still had their own unique identity by being on a handheld platform.

Honestly, the more Zelda games the merrier in my opinion.
