It's leading sales this year in Japan, by a long way. It's leading sales this year in America, by a long way. As far as I know it's also leading sales this year in Europe.

It smells like the DS all over again, which must be really annoying for ALL those people who said it wouldn't happen because home consoles are nothing like portables and the market will not react the same way and that you couldn't look at the DS sales as a possible example of how the Wii may do against the more powerful competition etc blah blah...

Really?  Nintendo's outselling everybody right now?  Well, that's not old news at all!  The real question is, whenare Nintendo going to reward all the people who bought their d**n systems with some good freakin' games!  Sure the Wii has a decent library right now, but it's starting to become the lets-make-a-quick-buck system.  They're putting freeware games out for it in Japan for cryin' out loud

When the F*** are these games coming out!?  At the very least, they could give us some idea.  No, in the meantime, let's just enjoy Resident Evil 4 AGAIN, along with more awful ports of PSFREAKIN2 games!  Nintendo, get your heads out of your a**es.  I don't mind the last gen graphics, but I didn't buy the Wii to play games that I can already play on the PC FOR FREE!!!

In the case of the Wii I would say no. Right now there are not a lot of stand out games IMO...

You can also play all the DS and PSP games on your PC for free, so why should we buy those consoles? Heck, you could rob a store and steal a 360 for free, so why not do that as well?
