Halo wars? I think KZ2,MGS and Fable or something would have been better choices. But I don't agree with you. Wii has a different market than 360/ps3 they basically don't need to whole back things when they are the front runner.

In the Iwata talks segment they just did with Sakurai, they said that they didn't actually start working on Brawl until like a month after it was announced because everyone was confused about it being real or not.

Plus, no one is currently very happy with the roster, and I HOPE that they don't release it as is now if they can improve it in a month.

Yeah exactly what I meant. GTA4 will be april and MGS 4 will be june (according to Amazon). Seems like two months apart is enouh for MGS to keep GTA4's wind out of its sails.

No game selling 7 million on any system, twice, can be ignored.

There's also evidence saying that games that were on the PS2 and have their sequel on the PS3, sell less.

Examples:

Dynasty Warriors 4 sold 1.8 million on PS2, 5 sold only 500k on the PS3.

Boku no Natsu Yasumi sold 450k on the PS2, but only 140k on the PS3. (JP)

Hot Shots Golf Fore! sold 1 million on the PS2, HSG5 300k on the PS3. (JP)

Having a smaller userbase does decrease sales, A LOT.

Aside from that if you read what I've posted earlier in this topic I stated first iterations of games on a console usually sell better. This proved true for MGS and MGS2 and MGS3 indeed sold less. However MGS 4 is the first on a new console again. Nothing wrong with that logic now is there? Aside from that you could of course say that it's just guessing what I'm doing and you'd be right. We all don't own a crystal ball that tells us exactly how much any game will be selling.

Why do people think halo wars is going to be a huge hit ? I can see this game being bought by the hardcore RTS enthusiast.

If anything it shows each SSB game getting more popular unlike MGS you can spin it all you want but when half the fanbase of MGS/MGS2 don't buy the third game that tells us something plus considering 100 million PS2 were sold at the time and only what? 8 - 9 million PS3 have been sold MGS4 will not pass MGS3 sales any time soon imo.

Ouch ouch. You're right, I didn't look good. I added the 4,89 to the 1.97 and the 2.92 thinking it was European, American and Japan sales. My bad! Guess I'm oing to be sitting quitly in a corner for a while :oops:

But that does mean that both MGS and MGS 2 outsold both SSB and SSBM while still some people in this thread claim MGS is no competition for SSBM in terms of sales. There you have failed logic.
