I prefer DS over PSP, and PS3 over Wii. But I want a Wii eventually.Â
Wii is doing so well now because of the price, positive media, Wiisports and non gamer appeal. PS3 will start doing well with the games.
PSP won't beat DS. Never thought it would.Â
nintendo stopped appealing to me after nintendo 64, i really dont care for them and they're systems for "everyone" anymore.
Â
They can't even have an online service with wii launch although they had the WHOLE last generation to prepare one.

Are you sure? I think Nintendo might. Additionally, the only indicator I gave that I'm attempting to extend my personal opinions on the whole market is in the title of the thread.
Beyond that, I've got a fairly good testimony that rings true generally. There is simply nothing on the DS and the Wii that interest me...certainly a reasonable thought process. I said I considered both the DS and the Wii in the first place. Why would I be a fanboy if I'm considering both of them, and bought one instead? In fact, I've walked into Gamestop numerous times to ask "do you have any Wiis or DS Lites?" only to walk out disappointed...it is only coincidence that I'm not regretting that now. I camped out for several hours outside an EB games for a Wii. So, yeah, of course I'm a fanboy. Whatever, man. I just want to play God of War for PSP and Metal Gear. That has nothing to do with being a fanboy.
The online gaming on Wii is nonexistent, the graphics on either platform cannot compare, some truly amazing PS2 games are making appearances on both platforms, and they are both fully equipped as media tools. Those are some pretty good pluses.Â

Ok, now I'm confused. Do you want Wii and DS Lite or not? You said there is nothing that interests you on those systems. Then you say you are disappointed that they are sold out when you ask? WTF! This doesn't make sense.Â

Ok, nevermind. I get it. You wanted DS lite and Wii at first, but was disappointed when they were constantly sold out. Now, several months later you don't regret your decision not to get them. But that still kinda doesn't make sense...because now DS Lite and Wii have more games now than when you initially wanted these systems...
Here's the reason: As an owner of a PSP and a PS3, I feel no need to either get a DS or a Wii. I've considered both, and want neither. Because they don't give the same experience at all, or the same functionality. Maybe I'll buy the Wii when I've absolutely got to play a game directed by Miyamoto, but until that day, I'm all set. Lair, God of War, Metal Gear, Final Fantasy, Ratchet and Clank...keep your goods, Nintendo, I'm not interested.Redfingers

PLEASE! PLEASE buy a DS and Wii. You're decision alone will decide if Nintendo wins or loses this generation! :roll:Â
The Wii or The Ds doesn't need to do anything. Grandpa GBA is still whoopin' PS3's Butt

We'll See if PS3 can win. But i put my money on GBA
That statement could not be farther from the truth.A Sony fan doesn't like Nintendo games.

I really dont see what you getting at with the PS3 vs GBA thing you got going there.
Not only is there a MASSIVE price difference but one is a console and the other one is a handheld.

Its a running joke, the GBA has outsold the PS3 for all but one month since the PS3 launch. While the PS3 is being hyped like crazy and the GBA is dying off.Â

Yet the Wii and the DS continue to dominate the market -- and not just by a little bit. Look at the sales numbers of those two consoles compared to all the other consoles. You'll see that the sales of those two consoles is more than all the other competing consoles combined. So your individual opinion is definitely in the minority and does not reflect the general opinion of most of the market.Â

Not to mention the GBA came out about 6 years ago now. I did not even think you could buy an SP still, I have not seen them in stores.
DS rules over the PSP in almost everyway right now. You need to try it now if you are a real gamer cause you are missing out...gamespot813...not really. I mean the two offer two completely different experiences. I just really don't see the must-have games there for the DS. Myself I like the idea of a handheld console. People make me feel like I'm not a real gamer because I like good 3D graphics. Games like Crush, Daxter and the new Socom are the sort of things I've always wanted in handheld gaming. I'm sorry if 2D gaming just isn't as exciting to me anymore. It's also nice to have my music, games, movies and internet browsing in one package also.;) If you want my personal opinion I'd say the only way a hardcore gamer could be interested in the Wii is because it's cheap. At least Sony hasn't turned their back on gamers like me who care about more than cheap, minor innovations in control.

I laugh at the sheep who claim ownage on that. It shows what 2 generations of straight beatings do to you. I mean Nintendo is the King of the Handheld world. Actually IMO the DS sort of flopped. If their's one thing Nintendo owned was the handheld market. I even told people that Sony doesn't have a chance yet the PSP is selling well. This is Sony's first go around and Nintendo has made how many handheld systems. The Ds should have made the PSP flopped in the first year. That was the last time I backed up Nintendo. If sony releases another handheld expect it to have better graphics then PS2.......erase all the flaws of the PSP and kill Nintendo next handheld. Â
