I voted A because it has me gaming a lot more, and is more approachable. BOTW and Mario are incredible!

This console hasn't been out long enough for me to give a fair assessment. While they have managed to get some third party support, the biggest third party games are still not on the Switch. The biggest plus for Nintendo was a solid lineup of first party games in less than a year. The counter to that is a complete lack of online functionality in comparison to other consoles on the market (last I checked my Switch, there was an online store and a news section). Its a C for now. To get to a B or A, the following would need to happen:
Another solid year of first party support.
Continued third party support (beyond the rush of indies)
Significant progress in their online service.
Again, I don't think its fair to give a "ranking" less than one year into the life of the Switch, but there is clearly some room for improvement.
A from me so far...love the games they have release it for it BotW, Odyssey, MK8...even strange ones like ARMs,...playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 atm...will pick RE: Rev 1 & 2 later...Fate Extelia game..& SF 30th Annivesary edition.. later on..so yea. :P
Less than a year in. Splatoon 2, BotW and Odyssey- it's an "A" from me. Room for improvement for sure, I'd love to upgrade that A to an A++, check back in a year...
Easily an A so far.
The system has been out for less than a year, and I already have a solid backlog of games for it. It already has two 10/10 games on it (and a port of a third one out in a few weeks), a great range of exclusives and third party titles, and it had become a new home for indie titles as well. Good games have released for it pretty much every week for the past 6+ months.
Overall, I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I'm also really excited for the system's future - both for the first-party titles (Metroid Prime, Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, etc.) and announced third party games (SMT5, Octopath, etc.). If more of the 3DS and Vita developers migrate over, the Switch should have an amazing library for many years to come.
For the amount of time that it has been on the market, I definitely give it an A+.
The Switch's game library is incredible for still being less than a year old. The Switch has given me the most fun that I've had with any console in it's first year since the N64 gave me Super Mario 64, Mario Kart 64, Star Fox 64, WCW/nWo World Tour, and Goldeneye 007 in it's first year.
F.
No games. No 3rd party support.
All I see is Wii U ports, PS3/PS4/360/Xbone ports and indie ports. I literally played all these games last gen minus Mario Odyssey which is overrated because nintendo/nostalgia. It should be a 7/10 game at best.
The online is awful still.
Missing tons of features and apps the others have.
Massive game droughts.
This system is clearly not for me. It does not offer me anything I want or like. Nintendo is targeting fanboys and kids.
So far, it gets an F score and I don't see that changing until 2019. They have nothing announced yet for 2018 which is scary because it is almost February and I couldn't care less about bayonetta ports or terrible yoshi/kirby games. I have no hope for this company.
I am baffled as to why most of you gave it an A rating. It just proves nintendo fans have insanely low standards that can be met with 1 mario game.
A-
Good selection of games so far. But they're going to need to pump out more exclusives this year if they want to remain relevant. The console is also a powerhouse when you consider its size.
My main issues with the console:
- No controller out of the box (the joy-cons blow); the pro controller is overpriced and doesn't have a working d-pad
- Online functionality is non-existent; it still uses friend codes, and there is no cloud sync for save files (you can't even backup saves to SD card)
- No multimedia functionality; I don't plan on using my Switch for multimedia (have Amazon and Roku for that, and my phone for mobile media), but it's pretty strange for a console not to have these features in 2018
C. They have great exclusives, but they are really lacking on services, power, OS, and on the network side of things. The majority of their exclusives are remakes of Wii U games, but that is only getting better. I do like their hardware quality over Sony, but Microsoft still has better quality hardware this gen. I really see this system moving to the A/B category as soon as they start updating their firmware and adding new services.

I saw that someone gave it an F and immediately knew that it was you.

Still had a better first year than the PS4 or Xbox one did though.
C - It only has 3 games i'd play on it Zelda and Bayonetta 2 & 3, but still not enough for me to buy it without a kickarse racing game, please don't say Mario Kart because I will just say LOL.

There will never a racing sim released for the Switch.
1. It doesn't support analog triggers
2. You need 60 fps for racing sims, and you're not going to get that on the Switch
Zelda and Mario are good but what the system is really missing is a virtual console. Due to not only the lack of it but the complete silence of what Nintendo's plans are (if any) dropped my personal score for the system to a C.
If the VC was out it would have scored a B. It's doing good but needs more time to really shine.

VC with gamecube games would be amazing.

Are you saying that racing sims only became a thing starting this generation?

You need it for modern racing sims.

You're missing the point. That second point only comes into play if Switch is physically incapable of outputting 60FPS. A racing sim can be 60FPS on Switch if it's made to be 60FPS on Switch. That part of your argument was dumb.
