@boxrekt: Dude, I'm not making a conspiracy theory. Stop getting angry and just read what I said. Also, you're implying that Sony didn't know about the PS5 in April...
Again, this isn't an accusation of fowl play. It's just business, and it's 100% legitimate because, at the end of the day, retailers chose to buy the extra units since they know that they'll sell them either way. It happened with PS4 years ago, it happened with Switch over the holidays, and now we see that it's happening with PS4 again. It's not a bad thing, it's not cheating, and there's nothing wrong with it. You don't need to cry.
It is a conspiracy theory and it's a pretty idiotic one at that.
PS4 was at 91.6 million in January ignorant one.
PS4 is projected to sell another 16 million this year
From january that's approximately 14 Million more expected PS4 sales...It's August now.
Now explain to me, with your idiotic logic, how reaching 100 million mid way through a year which is expected to surpass 100 million PS4 in over all sales is over shipping?
PS4 sold:
- 4.2 million in 2013
- 14.41 million in 2014
- 16.75 million in 2015
- 18.41 million in 2016
- 21.2 million in 2017
That's a total of 74.97 million before 2018.
16.63 million units sold in 2018 = 96.1, and as in sold to USERS!
You're saying 4 more million in stock after January is OVERSTOCKING?
In a year projected to sell 16 million???
Even if you low balled and said you only expect PS4 to sell 10 million this year...THAT WOULD STILL BE OVER 100 million! And retailers would need to have those units on shelves to meet demand.
Are you saying retailers should rather UNDER stock PS4's BELOW the demand for the hardware?
I can't overstate how stupid that nonsense you pulled out your ass is.
