Anyway, great numbers all around for great games. Cant wait to see Splatoon 2 join them.

And, apparently, a 2.89 software attach rate, though it's early in its life cycle.

Yeah, it's too early to actually call a software attach rate yet (PS4 was under 3 at this point in its life too), especially since digital only games aren't counted by Nintendo in cumulative software sales for whatever reason.

Last week someone reported it sold 500k. Apparently it is best to use the numbers Nintendo reports than anything else because that number sure was bunk.

I think 500,000 units are its European sales.

I'm pretty surprised almost 1 in 5 Switch owners don't own BOTW. But good numbers. Can they beat 10 million sold before the year ends?

Their projections are 10 million sold for April 1 2017-March 31 2018. adding in the 2.7 million units already sold before April 1 this year, I'd say they have a good outside chance.

More than 1/3 of the way to Wii U's lifetime sales in 5 months. Nice!

And with Mario this holiday (even though 2D sells better) and Pokémon at some point, this will do double Wii U sales minimum.

No but seriously it's disappointing they can't get more out of the door due to supply constraints.

They have a guarantee of 10 million through this year, they have scaled up manufacturing in June, and Apple's bottleneck ends around September-October, when the new iPhone launches.

@sHaDyCuBe321: 4 months actually. This doesn't include any shipments from July. Also, the fact that it's shipped vs shipped is even more important, since Switch sell through is likely well over 90% while Wii U is... lower. Lol

@mjorh: First of all, Switch marketing has been spot-on so far. Second, how would marketing help when it's sold out in most places anyway, and the places where it's not sold out are either Sony-dominated or have to deal with ridiculous pricing?

If it keeps selling at this rate, it will take it 2 years to supercede the XBox.

Arms is something special. Like a long lost Sega arcade game was found and released in the year 2017. The character design is some of Nintendo's best in a long time. I'm pretty sure none of the characters are kids which is a nice change of pace.

I think it depends on the supply- if they can sell another 3 million August thru mid November and supply 2 million for the holiday then boom there's 10 mil

I haven't bought a Switch yet, but when I do, ARMS will be the first game I get. There must be a few others like me.

So nearly half of the switch consoles that will ever be sold have already been sold, and an average performing Zelda. Ah, well.

Hopefully post-September/October Nintendo can get their production issues sorted. That should be more or less when Apple reaches it's max production (depending on the exact launch date) and they can perhaps regain priority for the following months (especially since it's actually selling and they need it). Though, no idea how those sort of deals work at all. All I know is that people have been speculating for months now that has been the main reason for the current production shortages.
