Second, what was your prediction about Zelda, and in what way is Switch "another Wii U?"

Third, so far it looks like Switch, just like Wii, is its own thing and isn't in direct competition with Sony or Microsoft. Next gen will mean that it's 100% impossible for Switch to get ports... which it isn't getting now anyway. I don't think it'll affect sales much, just as Switch isn't affecting PS4 sales in spite of how well it's selling.

Finally, I don't understand the concept of wanting a console to fail. I mean... Why?

PS: I want a link to that prediction that it would be another Wii U to make sure that wasn't a sales prediction.

I'm not excusing fans for going crazy about the Breath of the Wild E3 trailers. I have never said as such. Those are your words. I have said, however that according to your comments on Gamespot articles, you believed people were only considering Zelda the Game of the Show because of nostalgia which seems to be at odds with your idea about it being such a great game, at least to me. The game wouldn't need to hide behind its brand if it were a great game and your comment history in Gamespot articles seem to be largely luke-warm toward the game.

And i was like, yeah thats something. And then Wii came and made record sales for Nintendo and even more record software sales. And then... they let Wii become a dust collector ? Really ? Thats the first time something like that happened in CONSOLE HISTORY ( caps to emphasize). EVER!

Anyways about Switch pro, i mentioned that also on debates i had. That the only solution i see for Switch to have a chance against PS5/X2 kind of hardware is to provide a far better Dock or i dont know what else in order to compete. Now youll say me " who gives a **** ". Sure, thats true. But the big issue here is that massive amount of third party developers will start making their games with new engines and all ... and then the gap between PS5/X2 vs Switch will be humongous let alone any Switch version of same game will look and feel so downgraded that will make 3rd parties games even more unlikely to get a switch release.

Thats why im saying all along they need to push as much Switches as they can those 2 years and establish their system hard. Thats their plan all along that why they promoted Switch as a console in the first place to lure in the console fans as well.

And in my opinion ( MY OPINION ) all this shit im foreseen could have been avoided if Nintendo and media would have promoted Switch as what it really is !! A HANDHELD !! Yes. A handheld that is awesome , the most powerful handheld ever, the handheld that can play on TV as well , the handheld that has no rival on the market etc. So noone would ever compare Switch with PS4/PS5 or PS11 let alone noone would give a shit about other consoles , multi games etc.

Now ... good luck all im saying. I hope Switch sales are more than 40million units the first 2-3 years and everything will be okish. More than that and they wont have any problem. But if sales will be less than 40million and then Switch have to be compared head to head with PS5/X2 and their games ? ... GOOD LUCK!!

If you really want to look at sales then take all of the Sony consoles and compare them with all of the Nintendo consoles. What do you get?
