[QUOTE="DaAznSaN"][QUOTE="-RPGamer-"]Who needs those kind of games when Wii Fit exists?-RPGamer-
People who may want both.
Wow, such a serious response to my overly sarcastic way of looking at Nintendo's focus. :|
I've seen many types of these remarks before, both sarcastic and non, and people like to go wild with them.

Mine is sarcasm laced with disappointment, slightly odd combo.

Its only one "game" its not going to destroy the Wii's line up or gaming for that matter. Its really a Trojan Horse just like Wii Sport is, it makes people buy the system and get a taste of gaming, and some of them will continue to buy games, "real" games.
I never thought of it before, but maybe Fire Emblem on the wii will use motion sensing and the cursor in some interesting way. It is a nintendo game, and they would be eager to show what their tech can doGunSmith1_basic
I'll just be happy if I can point and click my units without having to scroll through them with a dpad. >_>

My disappointment isn't with just that game, this game just adds to it.
The game would have worked out 2x better on the DS. I hated all the fancy graphics on the GC verison. It's still a good game, but the 2D graphics are ment for this game.
I want to play it,badly, but I'm not wasting $300 on it.

Don't hold your breath, last I checked it didn't support motion sensing.

I'm sorry, it won't have any motion sensing features since FE:GoD was definetly a cancelled GC game ported to the Wii!!! However, Intelligence System is already planning on making a ground up Wii build of the next Fire Emblem game!!! Who knows what will it be about!!!

according to this article on IGN, you're right, it uses the classic controller. But they say that nothing is official, and that preview was november of last year, so lots of developments could have been added since then. IMO, using the pointer to select things would be a simple thing to implement. The game would have worked out 2x better on the DS. I hated all the fancy graphics on the GC verison. I think the game is fine with 3-D, however, since the series is moving towards 3D, I am envisioning that the game can become more of a RTS game!!! I'm already playing the 4th installment of the series in which the maps of the game were huge and the goal is to capture control of every house in the country!!!

that would be awesome! My imagination goes crazy when I get these ideas in my head. A fully 'wii' RPG might be something a lot different than what we're used to.[QUOTE="swordsmen118"]The game would have worked out 2x better on the DS. It will NOT become an RTS game. It is a strategy game which the Fire Emblem series should always be. The day it becomes an RTS is the day I stop buying it.

I find the above to be completely odd.
It's a strategy game. Ok, I think we could all agree, but so are RTS (hence the S). So if they became RTS titles, it would still be a strategy franchise as it "should always be".
That would be such a train wreck I would have to rent it to see it for myself
enjoy it while you can. At this rate the next Fire Emblem game will probably be some kind ofminigame collection that requires a 50 dollar peripheralNorthlandMan

I know that it will not become an RTS, but I feel that the franchise should change a bit!!! Besides, it seems like a great idea if you think about it!!! Play FE: Geneology of Holy War and you'll see what I mean!!!
And besides, RTS stands for real-time-STRATEGY!!!!

I would buy and play just to say that i had.

Interesting idea although that would require restructuring of some of the core gameplay mechanics and who knows how that would turn out.
I see Fire Emblem working as an RTS series if you are put into the position of ruler of an entire kingdom and have control over an army. Maybe I'll finally be able to start off with some Wyvern units and I finally wont care if someone dies (unless they're one of the commanders of those generic soldiers I'm controlling)

It can work if they tried!!!
