Lay their claim to world domination by sending forth their armies of little red, blue and yellow carrot people lead by a pair of itallian plumbers and backed up by a host of hudreds of other characters. Enslaving the employees of both Sony and Micro$oft and forcing them to work on many pokemon remakes until the end of times.

And why are they losing integrity doing so? They're catering to a wider audience. They've never lied about it or otherwise led people to believe otherwise. The Wii and their strategy are laid out for all to see.

I don't have a problem with Nintendo making little simple games as long as the games I like aren't over-shadowed. The Wii is such a huge step in the casual direction! that's how I was convinced that Nintendo is selling out. Check my sig for details.

But you do have a problem. You call it having poor integrity and selling out.

Casuals are the market. They have always been. Ninty showed their strategy a long time ago, and we've known that the hardcore adult gamer has never been their main focus. Nintendo didn't change their image... they finally struck gold in their attempts.

I doubt nintendo would be able to compete with a standard console any more. I'm happy with what they're doing with the wii though, there is now a real distinction between the types of consoles you can buy. I mean, in the last generation there were differences between the hardware, and the software, but still, they weren't that distinct. An Xbox was only so much more powerful than a GC which was only so much more powerful than a PS2, and they could all play virtually the same kind of games.

But now you have real choice when buying a console, you can go all out on a PS3 getting games that take advantage of it's physics and graphics capabilities, similarly with Xbox360, or you can pay a lot less and have a wii with games that take advantage of it''s unique control systems, and in doing so have a console that your dad/mom/grandad/brother/sister might end up playing, which is always more fun than playing on your own

Having to support more then one platform per gen is suicide.

Unless it's Handhand and Console/
