Nintendo is making far more profit than sony or MS. Why?

Because their hardware price. They manage to make a little over $50 on every console sold. And they have sold over $12 million consoles.

Why do you think Nintendo share's have gone through the roof? Wii and DS have been a huge success world wide. Making Nintendo once more the power house and making them #1 world wide once again.

Microsoft used 6 times the money to make the Xbox in comparison to GC (Is this true? I remember reading it in a paper I think, but I'm not totally sure, anyway, a lot more) and probably used double at least on making 360 in comparison to Wii. Also, if there is a 20% failure rate, MS has to repair these, which costs a small bit of money probably.

Also, Ninty is a developer.

Also, Nintendo has DS (you guys may not include this, but they do, and it prints money)

Not really. Nintendo wipes the floor with Microsoft when it comes to software sales... unless your foregetting about that whole DS thing... you know 10+ million copys of Nintendogs and about 10+ million copys of Animal Crossing Wild World... and approching that with New Super Mario Brothers...

Nintendo is selling mostly first party titles which means a bigger margin. The profits that a console manufacturer sees from the sale of apps is only a fraction of the selling price.

Ninty sells its consoles at a profit.

MS and Sony sell thier consoles at a loss.

So its pretty obvious who'll make the most profit.

Since the Wii is a GC redisgn, they cost dollars to make.

Not to mention all the leftover parts from the GC era.

Nintendo must be making insane amounts of money right now.

They make a profit off of the Wii, unlike with the 360 and PS3.

They don't have defective hardware where they have to fork over tons of cash for, like the 360.

Then they have the DS and all its games.

the Wiimote costs about $2.50 (if that) to make a wiimote

Nintendo will make the most money and sell the most systems...

but right now...I'll be getting back to playing Halo 3

According to a Wall Street Journal Article i read a few months back, despite having the lowest sales last gen, nintendo made more profit off of the GC than Sony's entire electronics division, and Microsoft is yet to make a profit off of its gaming division
