Nintendo: Zelda Will Sell Wii U! Treating Wind Waker HD as a new AAA release.

Speaking to MCV Roger Langford, product manager for Nintendo, said, It is the perfect time for Zelda fans to discover Wii U. For many Zelda fans, this is the first time that theyll discover Wind Waker and were treating the game as a triple-A new release.

Poor Ninty, it's starting to look bad for them with this console.  Will they ever get back to SNES greatness?

I bought the bundle this weekend... it did for me.

Yeah I'll buy it for Wind Waker, stay for Super Smash Bros.

Wind Waker was a system seller back in 2003.  It's 2013, I'm sure many Wii U owners and prospective buyers would purchase Wind Waker again, but it won't be the reason to purchase the system.

I bought the bundle too, then returned it after a few hours of play.   The controller is a complete disaster and the system and a 10+ year old zelda game are not worth $299.

It will cause a slight bump in sales for a week or two, but it won't make a big difference.  Wii U is DOA.  Nintendo made a big mistake in believing casuals would buy the Wii U.

Wind Waker a system seller back in 2003? Not really. I think WW sold less than any other Zelda console game. If you haven't played a Zelda game before Wind Waker is really a good entry Zelda game. Not that many people played WW so I see why they are saying people will buy a Wii U for this.

Wind Waker a system seller back in 2003? Not really. I think WW sold less than any other Zelda console game. If you haven't played a Zelda game before Wind Waker is really a good entry Zelda game. Not that many people played WW so I see why they are saying people will buy a Wii U for this.

A new AAA release?.......:roll: Its a remake of a 10 year old game. I guess calling it a new aaa game though means thats how they justify charging 60 bucks for a remake of a game that is a decade old.

What makes it worse is its a remake of a 10 year old game that isnt even one of the top 5 games in the series.

Relatively speaking, it won't be a substantial boost in comparison with their competitors.

Regardless, the remake is d*mn beautiful.

Sheeps hyping , or trying , to hype WW as the game that will boost sales and put Wii U in the game again ... And its not even a decent REMAKE.. its more or less , an HD version of original. Come on !!

i like the nes ones the most for nostalgia reasons.
