Nintendo's 2011 looks to be incredible!

Nintendo has RTS, Adventure, Puzzle and RPG coming in 2011. And Nintendo has a strong tradition for announcing more at E3 2011.

Real Time Combat where you can charge at the enemies like Mass Effect 2 looks awesome.

I disagree, but it definitely is more impressive is than what Microsoft is offering

the only wii game i care about is zelda, might buy another wii to play that. and i need to see a 3DS with my own eyes first before im convinced and the price has to be below £200 with a bundled game for me to buy.

I doubt we will see last story this year if even at all in Europe, there really isn't much left for the Wii now but Zelda (big name I mean ofcourse). This is exactly the same as the GC, you either buy the new handheld so you have something to play or wait :? except the GC had a far superior back catalogue to keep me entertained.

Do we have any release dates for 2011 Wii games? I can think of a few games but no dates. Last year December, we knew NMH2, TvC and skycrawlers were coming. Whens the next Nintendo conference we'll likely get some dates?

I hope they pull an excitebots (announced and then released within 2 weeks).

Nintendo didn't say it was coming in 2011. All they said is that development is going "extremely well".

That's incredible? I must be spoiled by the PS3's lineup because that one just looks really weak to me. Skyward Sword should be excellent though.

PS3's line up looks better, however Nintendo tends to not announce things close to release so you never know what will happen. I really hope Pikmin 3 comes out soon.

Mainly AA material with the exception of Zelda. Plus I think you will find Uncharted 3 will receive more hype, at least on SW anyway.gamebreakerz__

Doesnt change the fact that there is plenty to look forward to. Considering that I only liked about 30% of the AAA games I played this gen as opposed to the 80% of the AA games I liked, I think that is good news to me those games are AA material. My personal Goty this year got a was an expansion that got 7.5 and was a stand alone expansion to a 6.0 game.

I hope the Wii support doesn't drop off because of the 3DS. I want to see 2011 be as good as 2010, or better. With DKCR, KEY and SMG2, my hopes for the Wii have skyrocketed, and if they are dashed because I didn't buy the new handheld for "the games" then I am going to be sorely disappointed. They should make a Yoshi's Island-like game in the NSMB Wii engine.

All I want from Nintendo this year is an announcement (no matter how vague) on their next console at E3. Then I will be a happy man.

Disagree with Zelda as "most hyped game of 2011", I'm not hyped for any of the games you listed and even though the 3DS looks fantastic, Nintendo has no chance agains Sony in 2011 from what we know so far.

Dragon Quest 6, Dragon Quest 10 (possibly, at least some footage), 3DS, and hopefully good 3DS games are enough for me. Should be a great year.

Can't wait for Pikmin 3. I doubt DQX will come out this year. Maybe in Japan, but not here. We don't know about The Last Story either. If we are lucky, both come out for the US this year, + Xenoblade.

But without any of the multi-plat games, the Wii is not worth it, the only thing good about it coming out is Zelda.GeneralShowzer

Unless they announce more games, this won't come close to 2010, it'll struggle with 2007 for that matter.

2008 I can agree with but 2009? That was the second best year for the wii. 2010>2009>2007>2006>2008. I estimate 2011 will be between 2007 and 2006.

my crystal ball tells me several sleeper hits (though not gigantic) and unnanounced games await us this year for the wii.

I don't care about any Wii game. Don't get me wrong, I love zelda but I'm not gonna buy a Wii just for first party games. However, I can't wait for the 3DS. It's a day one buy for me. Zelda, Metal Gear, Kingdom Hearts, Kid Icarus, Resident Evil, Star Fox. It's too good.

I'm fairly sure the Last Story hasn't been localized yet...

You guys are just suffering from post-partum depression from the great Nintendo 'birthing' of 2010. Metroid, Mario, Kirby, and Donkey Kong all made appearances in 2010 along with a few other solid appearances from Sonic, James Bond, and Mickey.

Nintendo doesn't release their schedule of games far in advance as you all know. Be patient, young Padawans. You are depressed because of the great 2010 games and you feel nothing in 2011 will fill that void except Zelda.

Nintendo will find a way to surprise. I will bet money we will see another 2D platformer in 2011-- Yoshi's Island was a good guess, but a Luigi game would be cool too. Pikmin 3 is on the horizon as well as the Vitality Sensor. Maybe we will even see a new Nintendo IP. Nintendo has a few surprises in store for us-- they want one last good Christmas before they begin winding down the Wii.

As for 3rd party games there has been rumor of another Rockstar game for the Wii. House of the Overkill 2 is also rumored. We are still awaiting news on Dragonquest X (hopefully U.S. doesn't have to waiti till 2012). Capcom probably has something cooking-- they did us good with MH3, hopefully they can create another full-fledged game not just another spin-off. Activision usually provides a Call of Duty game, but hopefully Wii gets the new game not a MW2: reflex edition. Ubisoft will surely have a Just Dance 3 and maybe something else. THQ has mentioned bringing some of the Matel brands o the Udraw such as He-Man or Barbie (don't get too excited all at once). High Voltage has a few games lined up such as Conduit 2 and Grinder. There will also be several cross-port games between PS3 Move and Wii,hopefully a few of these turn out to be decent games.

I think 2011 still has a chance to be great-- especially if the Last Story and Dragonquest X are both released in NA and turn out to be solid games.
