I really hope not. I guess if they did start doing it, then I'm going to have to accept that I'm going to need to pay so I can play online.
[QUOTE="Demonjoe93"]Dont believe that. Sony saw people were willing to pay for play online so they said, hey why not? Nintendo will do the paywall on the Wii U successor. Well, here's the problem, for better or worse, Nintendo tends not to follow Sony and MS' footsteps.I have a feeling they won't.

I think Sony's charging because of the losses they took with the PS3.
I think Nintendo is against online passes and used game blocking on a ideological level (I could be wrong about that though).
Nintendo's online isn't even as good as the PS3's let alone PS4 / XB1. They would have to have a great online infrastructure to even consider it and they don't currently.
Why wouldn't they? The Wii U's slow sales isn't stopping them. What makes you think there will even be a next console for Nintendo?

The correct question would be "Would they HAVE online play?" Because they care as much for putting online play on their games as much as Sony cares to make their "Sony Computer Entertainment Presents" screen be skippable. Willy105
I think you can skip that screen on Uncharted 3.

You can't lolEDIT:Â You might be able to do it in the F2P multiplayer/post several of the patches. I've never actually updated my copy of the game, so I wouldn't know in that case.

You can't lolNot the first time you play the game, but after that I'm pretty sure it lets me skip.
Mario Kart, brahThey could but I don't see why it would matter. Nintendo hasn't made an online game worth it.

They aren't going to charge for it.Â
A) they need a network that can compete and they don't have the infrastructure for that
B) the whole family friendly nature of nintendo gets tarnished if they sadd pay walls.
They are way better off just getting a solid network in place and doing a pre PS4, PSN+ type deal.

I don't think Mario Kart is worth $50 plus to play online. But, then again, the only Mario Kart I liked was Double Dash.

Well, maybe they'll fix Super Smash Bros. as well :P But yes, I'm not paying for online. Ever. So I agree with the gist of your argument.I think Nintendo is smart enough to know their online service isn't worth any money. Then again they are charging $350 for a Wii U so  they will probably try.
Yet their games are better than the competition.nintendo is like old milwakee beer. Â it's main appeal is being cheaper - not better - than the competition
drekula2
I certainly hope not. I usually get a couple consoles a gen. If nintendo also forced me to have to pay for online like Sony and Microsoft that'd really suck.
