The servers worked fine in Halo 2. Considering that some people in the company despised the netcode for that game, and considering Bungie doesn't feel like they had to make major compromises with Halo 3 (or at least, that's what they're saying now), I wouldn't think that Bungie hates us by not adding dedicated servers.
I thought warhawk was great and I have not experienced any lag while playing it.
This leads me to believe that dedicated servers are very good and more games like halo should use them.

dedicated servers are the best type of servers to have for multiplayer because they only do one things... and thats process the information flow between the individual players. This is why hermits prefer the lobby setup where we can pick our own servers than the random public match thing on LIVE. Just works better.

Definitely.... the first thing Im going to do is find a great shot of me sticking a grunt with a plasma and slap it on my backround...
People seem to think that just because Gears of War has ****ty online all games that use P2P servers must suck. In reality, Epic screwed the pooch and Gears multiplayer just plain sucks. Halo 2 had P2P servers and its insanely popular, as is R6:Vegas, and between Vegas and the Halo 3 beta I rarely experience lag or notice any sort of host advantage.
