No DMC4. No MGS4. No FF13. What exactly did cows buy a PS3 to play this year?

Every time lemming s here about all the great games on the PS3, they claim that none of them are any good.

Can anyone tell me? A bunch of multiplatforms? Or did you really spend over half a grand to play Lair and Heavenly Sword. :lol:tre6663

Yep I could give a list of games as long as my arm but if you think that MGS4 and FF13 are all the PS3 has to offer in 2007 you misinformed.

I'm buying one this year, but it's all about the price. Right now the PS3 is not doing so well, so in certain areas it's being sold at sometimes drastically reduced prices. I think picking up a reduced PS3 this year and waiting for a 360 price drop is the overall best idea for me.

I will buy the PS3 for White Knight Story, Folklore, Resistance Fall/Rise of man, MGS 4, FF13 and vs., Siren 3, and God of War 3.

I will buy the PS3 for the Blu-Ray Player.

The Ps3 will never be number 1 in my house, but the fact that I have a 1080p upconverting DVD player and Blu-Ray player that happens to play games for a fraction of the cost of a similar setup that doesn't play games warrants a purchase.

Firmware 1.80 ftw.

Show me a link where MGS4 was officially delayed.

Now, you'll either ignore me, or post a link where it says MGS4 will come out during the fiscal year, which late '07 is part of, and insist that Konami will release it at the end of the fiscal year without providing any proof.

I am probably buying one when Warhawk hits.

I will also play Resistance , Lair , Ninja Gaiden Sigma , Heavenly Sword , Ratchet and Clank Future , Uncharted Drake's Fortune and LittleBigPlanet along with the awesome multiplat games like Stranglehold , Assassins Creed , Haze , etc. It will be nice trying a bunch of brand new games this year and the big sequels will come later. I am perfectly fine with this. DMC 4 , MGS4 , and God of War III can come later.

there are plenty of other games coming to ps3 this year that will push console sales: ninja gaiden sigma, lair, gta iv, assassin's creed, uncharted, socom, eight days, ratchet and clank, warhawk, haze, guitar hero 3, call of duty 4, plus many, many more.. yes alot maybe multi but not everyone has the time or money to buy all three platforms. most will just go with the one that offers the games they want to play the most. 

I dunno... I currently have a PSP and a PS3 I waiting to get a 360 hoping they will fix the soldering issue before I invest in one.  I bought the PS3 because every game that was previewed for the PS3 looked like something I would like to play LBP, DMC4, MGS4, heavenly sword, warhawk, lair, white knight story, FFXIII, R&C ect... and recently last remnant and promises of a revitalized version of psychic force, GOW3, sly, and hopefully something crazy 3d party title that everyone else is afraid to back.

They may not be out tmr but I don't buy things on the spur of the moment I look to the future... for XBOX360 so far the big hitters mass effect, alan wake, halo 3 and a few others that were announced just don't strike me as something I'd like (never liked futuristic rpgs or shooters).  However too human (along with lost odyessy) is right up my alley if they do the multiplayer and action elements right, but I'll wait to see some player reviews before I commit to another system in addition to the PS3.

It seems this generation will have alot to offer, but so far nothing out on the market for any 'next-gen' system interests me.... luckily my budget blue-ray player really helped me get interested in this whole HD thing.

I do believe the TC is outnumbered in this subject. There are far more games that people are interested instead of the big big guns of the PS3. I like to see this. hotdaisy18

i think the main question is this:

metroid, ssbb, mario galaxy all out this year (probably) - what are wii owners going to play for the next 4 years?
