So the train of Nintendo missing out on important multiplatforms continues. From Destiny tp Fallout 4. Just let Wii U die and come up with a worthy console that third party will release their games on.
shame, it would have made a decent pip boy
The WiiU pad could have a lot of neat uses for inventory related stuff in a lot of third party games. But you know someone decided that it should be as strong as the systems from the generation before, and well the rest writes itself.
Oh no! Bethesda skipping a Nintendo console. Because it's not like that's NEVER happened when Nintendo even HAD powerful hardware.
Besides, they'd never do it even IF Nintendo had powerful hardware again.

...........Good talk. Now, please shut up.

Wow, people must REALLY support the idea of Nintendo completely burning their fans to the point of no return
Oh no! Bethesda skipping a Nintendo console. Because it's not like that's NEVER happened when Nintendo even HAD powerful hardware.
Horrible example, given that even the PS2 wasn't getting Bethesda support.
The Xbox worked because it had PC architecture for starters, had actual dvds (and not those mini discs), and had a hard drive to boot. So this isn't an apples to apples comparison, likewise "Bethesda would never do blah blah blah because blah blah blah" is conjecture with no merit to it.
Thats a good thing, i went back and tried to play Fallout 3, i loved that game when i was younger, but i just couldnt do it. I feel they need to change the pacing in the game, make it more action paced, also, remove the VATS, that shat dont age at all in my opinion. Give us real-time Fallout boys. I feel this game needs major chances for it to be widely accepted again, feels like a dying breed to me. A living dinosaur among evolved primates.
Also Las vegas should be part 4, dont hide from that disaster Fallout, we all know what youre trying to do.

Just looking for an excuse to create a thread to hate on the Wii U eh?
I'm a Wii U owner and I'm glad it's not on there. This sort of game needs to be designed with more powerful hardware in mind.
Wii U is still a great buy though with all the 1st party goodness. As I have a PC it's the only worthwhile console for me so far this gen.
To be fair Fallout 4 looks like a high-res port of a PS3/360 game. Maybe they could get it running on Wii U at 720p or something.
But of course the cost of porting it would exceed any return. Rockstar knew that.

Champ, c'mon now. "Blah blah" it all you want. Bethesda's, like I said, one of those companies that actually WOULDN'T EVER work with Nintendo even if they had the hardware, considering how much shit Nintendo did in their "Legacy" era (You know, the NES/SNES era people love to gush so much, while bashing anything released by Nintendo that AREN'T those consoles, to the point of being hypocrites over "nostalgia"). They are essentially a Civ (which thankfully, as of V has appropriate music) at war much to the point that they REFUSE to talk to you for any making up, and they aren't the only third party either.

Yeah some said the same about Assassins Creed Unity at first glance. Once released it looked crazy good. Fallout 4 will be no different.

Uhh, I remember quite the opposite. The E3 reveal trailer for Unity looked amazing, but the actual game ended up looking a little bit worse, which is typical for Ubisoft games.

When it comes to making money, no one is that petty. If the WiiU was a viable platform for them to make a 4th sku of their game and make more money, they are taking more money vs some nonsense feud you think they give a **** about. And for the love of all that is holy please cut it out with the shitty analogies to Star Wars, to video games, to people calling something gang wars or whatever. At least in a conversation exchange with champ, I'll even truce it up, no cursing from Champ.
Likewise when people praise the NES/SNES they praise the expansive libraries those systems got, not Nintendo's attempts at creating a monopoly. When they bash their modern platforms they belittle Nintendo's poor attempts at creating systems that can get expansive libraries and how little effort Nintendo has put into getting third party, and recently independent games. Further more when they play the "nostalgia" card they are saying Nintendo has a bad habit of making one too many sequels, where as those franchises they loved as kids were actually fresh and ground breaking.
Your apples to water comparisons do not hold.
Even if this game was on Wii U I wouldn't buy it. Well I'd buy it but way later. Games like Fallout and TES need to be played on PC. Consoles are just a weak imitation. This includes the twins.

You have got to be kidding me. Fallout 3 on Xbox 360 was great! The game is a single player shooter so it works on any platform.
Wii U gets Nintendo games and... well, Nintendo games which are all of high quality.
This isn't surprising at all. Nintendo consoles are meant for Nintendo games at this point in time and I'm not sure if that's ever going to change. Making games for Wii U just isn't profitable. If you want 3rd party, buy a PC or one of the twins.
The tablet controller would make a perfect Pipboy though.
I think the Gamecube has stained Nintendo's reputation, making their subsequent systems give off the impression that they're designed for children. I imagine that Nintendo would have to hire Sgt_Mark_IV to make a game that says otherwise.
Their reputation was stained since even the SNES era, considering their treatment to third parties even back then. It didn't just magically happen with the GameCube.
truly shocked.
im not shocked.
this is also not a horsepower problem. the wiiu could be twice as powerful as a PS4 and it wouldnt make a jot of difference. 3rd party games dont sell on nintendo platforms for the most part. there is certainly no evidence to support the idea that a game like fallout would sell well.
the gamepad would be neat though. it would be your pip boy....including having the music coming out of the gamepad speakers. maybe a PC mod could bring gamepad integration. would be an interesting project.

Lol, **** off pretending there was any chance of the biggest game of the 6th generation fitting onto a 1.5GB minidisc!
I'm not surprised at all. I'm sick of 3rd party companies not making a Wii U version for their games. Its just so disgusting and I'm tired of seeing it happen. Make a Wii U version of your games damn it!!!
And in response to this thread-
No Devil's Third, Bayonetta 2 or Splatoon for X1, PC or PS4.
Wii U still has the most games out of the current gen consoles. Still has a better marketplace (Wiiware, VC, stellar deals and so on), still hasn't been hacked unlike the others. Still offers the superior experience for a controller...
@locopatho: morrowind?
that was around 600-700MB in size. with all the expansions it could still fit on a 1.5GB disc.
one of the big reasons morrowind wasnt on the cube or PS2 was they didn't have a HDD as standard. good luck trying to keep loading times civil on those consoles. it would be a complete horror on the PS2. the GC wouldnt be as bad but its disc drive is no HDD. they would be able to work around the more limited ram and graphics hardware (clearly the game wouldnt look as good as the xbox or PC version) but managing the loading with no HDD....that would be painful.
even on the xbox it got pretty nasty at times.

I see a list of games that not many people care about. Even Bayonetta 2 (which got a 10 here) sells like crap on Wii U, indicating that not even Wii U owners care. So yeah, Wii U can keep those exclusives. No tears will be shed.
